External stones (or exernstein) are a group of rocks in the Teutburg Forest in northwestern Germany, in shape resembling columns and towering 30 meters above the ground. According to legend, a tribe of the sun worshipers lived here many centuries ago. Inside the rocks, many passages, stairs and holes are hollowed out, some of them lead to chapels or rooms, others – to nowhere. A niche was cut down on one of the five rocks-columns, which is an altar where a ray of sun enters the rock during the annual summer solstice through a round hole. Currently, this place is considered sacred in neopagowers, where fans of this religious direction often commit pilgrimage.

Cool cliffs formed on both sides of the winding river, which are similar to something like the “walls” of the corridor. The length of the gorge is about a kilometer, so you can pass it quickly, however, except for the stop to look around and take photos. Leaving the gorge, you will find yourself in an open area with beautiful mountain landscapes. From here you can climb the mountains along one of the pedestrian routes or go down the cable car.

Lake Blautopf is located in the south of the country in the city of Blabubyn and is famous for the water of incredibly blue color. Once there was a belief that the lake became blue, because every day a barrel of ink was poured into it every day. In fact, such a color occurs due to scattering of light on tiny particles of limestone, which cannot be noticed with the naked eye. The lake has the shape of a funnel to about 20 meters deep. And blue water contrasts beautifully with lush trees growing around – this is especially spectacular in the fall, when the leaves on them become yellow.

Most tourists who visited Germany saw Neuschwanstein castle, but this is not the only palace to pay attention to. Lindermhof is the summer house of the same King Ludwig II. Lindermhof is made in the style of French baroque: to make the building as authentic as possible, builders and sculptors are sent several times to France. Inside there are 10 rooms that were painted by the best European artists. With the castle there is a garden with curly flower beds and various colors, as well as an artificial lake.
