If earlier the majority, gritting their teeth, waited with trembling and even lust for at least the arrival of May in order to rush off on vacation, today only a few are ready to endure the “extra weeks.”
And why endure it, if in practice it turned out that the middle month of spring offers a wonderful opportunity for a trip to the warm sea in terms of its combination of qualities? It’s all the more fascinating because few people will follow your example—people are conservative.
Therefore, those who take risks will receive not only “champagne”, but also something else. For example, in free mode they will eat restaurant food at their buffet, and meticulously, like a lord, choose the location of sun loungers on the beaches.
And “other people’s bodies” will not be present in juicy vacation photos. And sometimes noticeable discounts on excursions – It’s not the season – they won’t be superfluous?

The winds in Egypt in April are quite strong. They are not omnipotent, but sometimes unpleasant – vacationers in Hurghada and Marsa Alam especially complain about them in their reviews.
No wonder! On this coast there are no mountains or even significant seaside cliffs that could reliably cover the beach from gusts of wind.
This circumstance may, in principle, turn someone away from the trip – well, a person is not ready to shudder when swimming in the “warm sea”. But there is also an alternative opinion.
Moreover, it is quite common: the playful and elastic Egyptian spring breeze is praised. Because it prevents overheating at +30 degrees Celsius.
Considering the above, choosing the “right” hotel is a task of primary importance. After all, those hotels that are protected by the shores of bays, look south, not east, provide guests with where best conditions for taking sea baths.
And you won’t freeze when you get out after swimming. And you won’t be forced to leave the shore because of a high wave.
Among the not particularly expensive hotels in the windless Makadi Bay, we will highlight the JAZ Neo Saraya Palms. In terms of the totality of qualities, it seems to be one of the best in the resort!
Water temperature
Usually it allows you to swim, although it cannot be said that everyone without exception! After all, the Red Sea off the coast of Egypt in early April warms up to only +22-23 degrees Celsius (rarely – +24).

The charges for accommodation (also all-inclusive) are 1.5 times less and, in general, noticeably simpler than the 3-star Giftun Azur Resort in Hurghada itself. Which is quite rightly called the best in this price category at the resort!
Prices for excursions look… not very affordable. For 70-9d0 € you can take part in a one-day tour from Hurghada to Luxor. For 60-70 € you can go to Cairo and the pyramids in Giza.
Well, entertainment nearby (cruise with diving, desert driving) will cost 25-40 €.
Things to do
There are plenty of options to “prevent yourself from drying out” in Hurghada.
The more expensive the hotel, the better its water park is usually. A standard seaside package will not let you get bored during your 6-7 day vacation. entertainment program. In the form of, of course, not suitable for everyone, but promising: snorkeling, diving, kitesurfing and parasailing.
Those who have the desire and money will be able to diversify their holiday in Hurghada with excursions, trips through the desert and canyons. However, all the additional entertainment, especially in the case of a large family, will greatly increase the final cost of the vacation.
A desert safari on roaring monsters will cost 15-25 € per person. A ride on a bathyscaphe with a transparent bottom in the Red Sea will ruin you by 25-30 €.
