Some people don’t even think about finishing work in June, planning a vacation for the highest and, at the same time, hottest months of the summer. Others, having had enough of the heat and high prices, as well as tired of the ubiquitous crowds, make a different choice. And it is at the start of summer that they leave for warmer climes and, in general, to the sea!
For example, Nha Trang in Vietnam, in June, is a surprising exception to the rule. And it allows you to have a good, and sometimes even great, relaxation at sea.
Moreover, at a time when other resorts in this Asian country are simply melting and languishing from stuffiness. And in principle, the whole of Southeast Asia during the June “spill” does not look like an exceptionally attractive place for beach relaxation.

But, excuse me, did you go to the tropics in the summer?! So, did you expect the weather to be dry and sunny and at the same time warm, not sultry? Then you were cruelly mistaken (well, that is, already lost) and chose the wrong direction.
Because even at the beginning of June, the air temperature in Nha Trang categorically and daily rises above +30 and even +32 °C. At the same time, clearly demonstrating the potential for further upward movement.
There are days when the atmosphere warms up to +36-38 degrees Celsius. And they are not isolated.
At night it is cooler, about +25-28 °C. Which, of course, allows you to take a breath, taste some spicy Vietnamese food in a restaurant, under the gentle breeze of the sea breeze – the higher you live, the more noticeable it will be – and enjoy the panoramas.

Rains
rare. In June, Nha Trang does not seem to suspect that while it is looking at the distant horizons through the prism of the clearest air, in Hanoi or, say, Phu Quoc it can pour recklessly. And citizens can’t decide what suits them best: sweating or going out into the rain and trying to cool down at least a little.
In theory, during a 7-10-day vacation you can catch rain or even two – if you are “lucky”. But most reviews indicate that no – such “luck” bypassed its authors.
Cloudy days do occur quite regularly. However, for example, during our vacation in Nha Trang in June, we mostly observed clear days. Well, or so we want to believe – the impressions were still good.
Yes, you need to take into account that sometimes it can be stuffy. And the fact that in the middle of the day it’s better not to appear either on the beach or even on the street.

Water temperature
The South China Sea off the coast of Nha Trang allows you to swim recklessly throughout June. Although, as mentioned above, you shouldn’t fall for this bait – in the middle of a summer day, the local sun simply tends to incinerate.
It is much more correct to swim around 9-10 o’clock in the morning, when the Vietnamese themselves have mostly left the beaches, but the sun has not yet had time to heat up the air. And before sunset – at this time, by the way, waves may appear. And you, exhausted from the heat, will be rocked on them, like a small child in a cradle.
The water temperature in June reaches +30 or even more degrees Celsius. There is no desire to check, since it is already clear that the sea has practically lost its ability to refresh. But it has not lost its relaxing effect – lazy swimming at this time becomes something like a psychotherapy session.
What to take with you
Previously, we have already talked in detail about what you need to take with you on a beach holiday in Vietnam, regardless of the month. We will not repeat ourselves here, we will simply emphasize some points that should not be forgotten.
Firstly, in June you will need literally all the summer clothes that can cover your skin (arms and legs, neck and face) from the scorching rays of the tropical sun. Short sundresses and sleeveless tops, shorts and T-shirts are also worth taking, but only for morning and evening exercise.
The second is sunscreen with a high SPF factor. And it’s better if you put not one, but several bottles in your luggage. Although, I must admit, in Nha Trang itself you can find almost any means from this “opera”.
Finally, the third thing that may come in handy is a first aid kit. It really should be assembled carefully and contain products that can provide first aid in case of food poisoning, an allergy attack or fever (which often happens with overheating). We also recommend taking panthenol ointment with you in case of sunburn.
Prices 2026
An 8-night tour to Vinpearl Resort Nha Trang: only with breakfast, but with direct flights, will cost two travelers from Moscow 200 thousand rubles in June. Vouchers to more modest hotels are cheaper – it will cost you 170-180 thousand.
Yes, you probably can’t say it’s cheap. But you can be consoled by the knowledge that the quality of relaxation and health (at least calming – and these days this is the same as treatment) effect of the trip will be, as they say, “for all the money.”
Trying to plan your trip on your own will only result in savings if you find a way to buy inexpensive airline tickets. Because, for example, flights from Moscow and back (transit through China) will cost at least 70 thousand rubles per passenger.
And, by the way, it is very difficult, the flight to Vietnam is 15 hours or more. One way only!
But hotels in Nha Trang are downright cheap. Although, for some reason, it is somewhat more expensive than in May.
A week’s stay in an excellent, albeit not first-class, Seaside Boutique Hotel Nha Trang Beach will cost ~300 € for two people. And 320 € – if a family of 2 adults and a child stays.
There are also significantly cheaper options. In June, the Dolphin Hotel Nha Trang will provide a couple of vacationers with a 30-meter Delux for only 122 € per week. And this hotel is located just 600 meters or 6-8 minutes walk from the central beach.
A one-day trip with a guide to Dalat is more expensive, but also tolerable – about 40-50 €.
Things to do
It wasn’t us who said it, so we’ll repeat it – it’s difficult to get bored on vacation in Nha Trang. Because it is a big, vibrant city full of energy. Which can afford not to pay attention to some lack of “protruding” attractions.
In fact, the only “standard” interesting places in the city include the Big Buddha statue, the Cham Towers and the Oceanographic Museum. Which can be visited in just a few hours and, however, in the conditions of the Vietnamese summer heat, you are unlikely to want to tempt fate and go somewhere else.
However, you can swim. After all, on the boat you will be blown by the breeze, and on the islands near the resort: “Monkeys” or “Orchids” (which actually occupies a piece of the peninsula) vivid impressions await you. It is quite possible that even the sharp, semi-wild macaques do not shy away from visiting tourists and behave with them completely in their own way, although not always politely.
Almost certainly, even in June, you will decide to see Hon Tre Island in Nha Trang – that is, go to the large Vinpearl water park located there. Fortunately, the transportation issue was resolved in a modern way – with the help of a cable car.
Taking long trips by land in Vietnam in June seems out of the question. Because by the time you get there, the heat will wear you down so much that you’ll forget why you were going. Although, of course, I would like to see a city like Dalat, being only 4 hours away from it!
