You know, if possible, you need to travel! Not even to discover new places, but just to get a break. To have the opportunity to break up the monotonous and everyday routine, change the environment, and heal mental trauma.

And also to travel, absolutely you don’t have to wait for summer. In principle, there is no need to wait for some “right moment”!

Today, for example, we will talk about out of season. And what good it can be.

We will talk about the Egyptian Sharm el-Sheikh in February. A large and famous resort in North Africa. But in a month that very few would dare to call a suitable time for a seaside holiday in Egypt.

However, what do we care? After all, we have already made our choice a long time ago. And they were happy with it!

Weather in Sharm el-Sheikh in February

Should be called reference. That is simply perfect fit for rest and relaxation.

Yes, not too hot. Yes, sometimes it’s windy. Not every day you can swim (some won’t want to at all). But still – great!

Throughout February, the air temperature in Sharm el-Sheikh fluctuates within a not too wide range: during the day it ranges from +18 to +23-25 degrees Celsius. Most often from +20 to +22 °C.

Length of day during February increases by approximately 40 minutes: from 10 hours and 50 minutes to 11 hours and 30 minutes.

Water temperature

Depends on the year.

During the best times, the Red Sea off the coast of Sharm el-Sheikh and at the end of February warms up to amazing temperatures. +23 degrees Celsius. But in general, there is no particular reason to expect that the water temperature will exceed +21-22 °C.

Of course, many will want and will swim in the sea at this temperature. Although, upon reaching the shore, they will not experience the most pleasant sensations (don’t forget about the strong wind, mainly from the north).

Other tourists will just bask on the beach. Well, swim in the hotel pool. Fortunately, the choice of hotels in Sharm el-Sheikh, where there are (heated – pay attention to this) swimming pools, is not so modest.

Things to do

The sun and the beach, an atmosphere of relaxation and even contentment with oneself and others – this is, of course, good. But you must agree that it is wrong to go to Egypt in the cool season and deliberately refuse visiting remarkable places?

Even if you decide to settle in Sharm el-Sheikh. That is, on the Sinai Peninsula and at a relative distance from the main attractions of the country.

Again, in Sinai there is something to see and where to visit.

And in February in Egypt you can see the colorful underwater world

And the first thing that comes to mind is Ras Mohammed National Marine Park. A unique place with an exceptionally rich and colorful underwater world. Which can be easily seen by anyone with swimming skills.

The oldest convent of St. Catherine is also located on the Sinai Peninsula. Easily accessible from Sharm el-Sheikh and an amazing natural formation – Colored Canyon.

Experienced divers may want to dive into the Blue Hole near Dahab. One of the most difficult, but at the same time alluring diving spots on Earth.

Few people dare to travel from Sharm el-Sheikh to Jordan. Although the main attraction of this country, the legendary Petra, can easily be explored during a one-day tour.

And a noticeably larger number of tourists leave the Sinai resort for “continental” Egypt. Believing that they simply cannot leave this country without seeing the Great Pyramids and the Great Egyptian Museum, the Luxor and Karnak Temples…
