Nha Trang in April 2026 – is it worth going? Weather and reviews, sea and air temperature, is it possible to swim, what to take with you, prices for tours and air tickets, in hotels. What to do and see in Nha Trang in April, where to go with children – says Eurotraveler.

April… Around this time, spring only makes its presence known, the sun begins to warm more noticeably, and the snowdrifts gradually shrink. In other places, April is more joyful and warm, triggering the flowering of nature and giving hope for the very soon arrival of summer.

Well, somewhere in the tropics, this month the beach season is in full swing. The sun does not warm, but simply bakes, one hot day follows another, the sea sparkles with turquoise and seems to invite you into its embrace.

And yes, Nha Trang in April undoubtedly belongs to this very third category. To the list of places on the world map to which I want to go. To relax (at sea) and just relax.

Especially if spring is in no hurry to arrive at your home. And it has no reason to be called early!

Briefly

  1. Is it possible to go to Vietnam in April? Depends on where exactly you are going and what you would like to do. Because in the north of the country (Hanoi, Halong) at this time, although it is warm and even hot, it can also be rainy. And in the very south – in Fukuoka, for example – it is excessively hot and stuffy
  2. When is the best time not to go to Nha Trang? We hasten to reassure you that the rainy season at this resort begins in the fall, around October. In November and December, there is a high probability of tropical showers, as well as the arrival of typhoons
  3. Where is better in April: Phu Quoc or Nha Trang? In terms of weather, central Vietnam is much better in late spring suitable for a seaside holiday. Because at this time it is not excessively hot here (in most cases up to +32 degrees Celsius), the rains are infrequent and not particularly strong, and the sea is perfect for swimming.

Weather in Nha Trang

Must be described as ideal for a beach holiday. Of course, we all understand that mid-spring is not the most popular time for vacation. But if you are tired of cloudy skies and cold weather, a trip to Nha Trang in April is just what the doctor ordered.

The air temperature in Nha Trang in April ranges from +30-35 degrees Celsius

Throughout the month, the air temperature during the day seems to hover around +30 degrees Celsius. At the beginning of the month it can be even less – only about +26-28 °C; at the end of April in Nha Trang it can be +35 °C.

At night and even in the evenings the heat is recedingand air temperatures drop to +25 °C. Thus, providing everyone with an excellent opportunity to take a breath, come to their senses, and the next morning greet another hot and sunny day with enthusiasm.

It rains rarely in Nha Trang in April, on average no more than 2 (rarely 3) times a month. And the statistical norm of precipitation (no more than 30 mm) will amaze anyone who knows first-hand what a tropical and monsoon climate is.

A prominent feature of the resort in mid-April is the abundance clear days. So, if you come on vacation to Nha Trang at this time, you have every right to count on mostly sunny weather.

The winds are weak, and in most cases the sea is calm or low waves. Which is unlikely to interfere with swimming.

Parents of very young children, however, should still be on alert – especially if they are relaxing on the central beach of Nha Trang. Near which a noticeable wave can occur literally on any day of the year.

Water temperature

Grows in a pleasant and rapidly ascending curve. If at the beginning of April the sea temperature in Nha Trang does not seem to know which figure to choose: +25 or 26 degrees Celsius, then in the middle of the month it is decided.

So the epicenter of spring is the South China Sea at this latitude off the coast warms up to +27 °C. And closer to May, the temperature of the water area is very close to +29 degrees.

Making swimming in Nha Trang at the end of April a pleasant, but not very refreshing experience. And making you think, if not about leaving the resort, then about shifting the peak of beach activity – for example, to the early morning hours?!

What to take with you

We discussed in detail the question of what you need to take to Vietnam from clothes and documents, as well as any accessories, in a separate review. Here we only focus your attention on the items and means that are mandatory need to be brought and constantly use in a tropical country.

First of all, we must not forget about sunscreen with a high SPF (50 or higher). Which people with white skin should apply not only on the beach, but also simply while walking around the city – even in case of cloudy weather.

If this is not done, there is a high probability that your skin will burn. And you will spend several days recovering from the consequences of an oversight instead of accumulating exclusively positive impressions from your vacation.

You should also definitely bring a (complete) suitcase with you to Vietnam light light clothes made from natural fabrics that cover the body to the maximum. Well, use these clothes for their intended purpose – at least during the day.

Shorts, sundresses and sleeveless tops will also come in handy. But not immediately – after your skin becomes bronzed and acquires a certain immunity from the best burning local sun.

Another thing that should never be left at home is a first aid kit. You should put in it not only the medications you regularly take (make sure that they can be imported into Vietnam and, if necessary, have a prescription or a doctor’s certificate) but also “first aid” supplies.

Such as: antipyretics and painkillers, medications to relieve allergic reactions and poisoning, antiseptics, bandages and adhesive plasters.

Medical insurance is not a required entry document. But it is advisable to formalize it. Since poisoning, heat and sunstroke in Asia happen to tourists regularly.

Prices 2026

A tour to Nha Trang in the April version from Moscow lasting 7-8 nights can be purchased for 160-170 thousand rubles. The price includes round trip transportation, accommodation in a good hotel and breakfast.

Nha Trang in spring is a great place for a seaside holiday

An independent trip will allow you to choose a hotel wisely and develop a much more active entertainment program, but don’t save money (more likely). Because just for air tickets – albeit in both directions – you will have to pay from 75-80 thousand rubles (~750 €).

Hotels in Nha Trang, however, are inexpensive – even at the height of the beach season. So, for a week’s stay in the more than decent Seaside Boutique Hotel Nha Trang Beach, a couple of vacationers will pay less than 200 € per week.

Excursions and tours will also not break the bank.

For example, for a multi-hour cruise along the coast, combined with swimming and even snorkeling, you need to pay about 25-30 €. A 3-4-hour sightseeing tour of the city and its immediate surroundings with a local guide (transfers included) will cost only a little more.

And you will have to pay about 35-40 € for a one-day trip to Dalat. Do I need to specifically say that this is more than acceptable?

Things to do

Nha Trang itself does not have too many attractions. But if you came to this resort primarily for the purpose of a beach holiday, then, most likely, you simply won’t notice all this.

Again, literally all the reviews directly indicate that the city itself makes a great impression – irecommend.ru/lyuboi-tut-millioner. Quite chaotic and not the cleanest, but definitely quite lively and colorful.

One way or another, tourists usually want to see the ancient towers of the Cham people in Nha Trang and visit the local Oceanographic Institute. And also take a cable car ride over the sea to Hon Tre Island and spend a few hours in the local water park at the excellent (but expensive) Vinpearl Hotel.

A visit to the designated water park makes even (at first cynical) adults feel delighted. As for the children, they will remember this kind of entertainment forever!

A trip to the Yang Bay waterfalls near Nha Trang is considered “good form”. And downright useful – health-improving sessions in the nearby thermal baths.

In (not yet insanely hot) April, a trip from Nha Trang to Dalat is literally a must. Moreover, excursions in this direction cost quite a lot of money and fit into a one-day format.

You can get to Dalat on your own. But if you do this via public transport, then the impressions – very likely – will not be the most positive.
