We continue to share inspirational routes for the summer with the Russian Explorers photographers. Roman Korshunov prepared a guide to the Crimea. And for you to use it as soon as possible, in our telegram channel we play a discount on flights to Simferopol, as well as to accommodate there.
Perhaps you have never considered Crimea as an option for a trip to the weekend. And in vain: in a few days spent on the peninsula, you can visit many amazing places.
I offer you a version of the program, saturated with crossings, a meeting of dawn and visiting various locations – in two days I want to see as much as possible. I drove without my car, so the route is suitable even for those who do not drive a car.
What you need to know before the trip

Of course, traveling around the Crimea without a car is not easy. It is better to assemble a company where there will be at least one driver and rent a car. The cost of renting a car on OneTwotrip starts at 3700 rubles* per day.
As an alternative, try to use the services of ads where you can find a local, ready to provide carrier services or an accompanying person. Such an option has become available here with the development of domestic tourism – there are more travelers and the transfer services have become more popular. Just remember that a local resident is far from always a guide, so it is better to engage in navigation on your own.
The cost of one day of such trips varies from 7,000 to 15,000 rubles. Search the driver, agreeing on the time of arrival and number of people, is better in advance.
How to get To the Crimea

The main airport of the peninsula is in Simferopol. The new modern terminal was opened in 2018. The cost of tickets depends on the season and days of the week: as a rule, the flight in the summer and on weekends is more expensive, for example, the average price of a ticket from Moscow to Simferopol and back with a departure of 10,000 rubles*this summer*.
Important nuances
In Crimea there are no familiar communication operators and taxi services working in other regions. There are no payment systems through a smartphone. But with a card, contrary to rumors, you can pay. So do not rush to shoot all cash before the trip. There are several Crimean operators for communication, the necessary financial transactions can be carried out in a local bank, and Maxim is a local taxi operator.
Route
Day 1. Sevastopol – Chersonesos – Cape Fiolent
The most beautiful city of Crimea, ancient ruins and the perfect spot for meeting sunsets are only 20 minutes from the city. Such a route will help to get on a short journey where all the sights are not far. I tell you how to enter the taste and feel the atmosphere of the peninsula.
Sevastopol

In my opinion, one of the few cities in Crimea, really deserves attention. Not only because it is the largest and most developed, but also thanks to interesting architecture.
After the Great Patriotic War, Sevastopol was actively and large -scale restored. Young architects came here in order to embody creative ideas. The city has a huge number of unique buildings, but, nevertheless, it looks holistic and pleasant due to the commonality of architecture, inspired by the images of St. Petersburg of the era of classicism. Walk around “Big Ring” – st. Bolshaya Morskaya, st. Lenin and Nakhimov Avenue. You will definitely like it.
Chersonesos (Tauride Chersonesos)

The branch of the Roman forum in the Crimea, which does not need to be confused with Cape Chersonesos (although it is also beautiful there). And seriously-an amazing treasure of ancient Greek civilization on the southwestern coast of Crimea. The policy was founded around 422-421 BC, Prince Vladimir was baptized here, many ancient objects and utensils were preserved. Therefore, lovers of history and not only – it is worth calling. You can easily get by taxi in 25 minutes or by rented transport.
Cape Fiolent

Sevastopol is also amazing because next to the city is such an epic observation. To get here simply by your course or by taxi. Only 20 minutes and you are already surrounded by incredible natural beauty. As in many similar places, I advise you to come here to see the sunset, laying time for a walk until the sun has not yet sat down. Look at the cliffs, walking on top, go down to the jasper beach, and then return upstairs to spend the sun again. The perfect completion of a rich day.

Day 2. Balaclava – Dzhangul
An empty city with dozens of boats and cozy streets, an ancient fortress and views of the nearest cape.
Balaklava

If you are as crazy as me, I advise you to come to Balaklava at dawn. Such a solution has several advantages. Firstly, there are few people and tourists in the city, and secondly, you can see mountains in the light of an incredible rising sun.
Chembalo fortress, located on the Balaklava cliff, Also deserves attention. Get up higher to walk around the ancient walls, look at the city and Cape Ayia from a height.
The city itself is an amateur, but when it is deserted – makes a completely different impression. Take a snack with you and have breakfast with a view of the boats. For the sake of such romance, it is worth making an effort and wake up early, because you can see these places almost deserted.
Dzhangul

Go here if you are not only a traveler, but also a collector of unusual places. Someone will say that 8 hours spent on the way are not worth seeing the landslide coast. But lovers of rare bewitching species will definitely not regret the decision to see it with their own eyes.
Dzhangul is located near the village of Olenevka on Cape Tarkhankut. The cliffs sliding to the sea formed a landscape with stone teeth and paths around them. And if there are strength, go to the return trip on the way Tarkhankutian lighthouse For the sake of a romantic landscape. Ask the local road and focus on signs.

Day 3. Sudak – Cape Megan
The ancient fortress, as if from the Game of Thrones and the sweetest lighthouse on the epic shore. We finish the trip with a rich day, where a new impression overlaps the previous one.
Zander

One of the most wine cities in Crimea. I advise you to take a walk in the evening along the embankment and maybe get to the New World to tasting the sparkling.

The most interesting in the city – Genoese fortresswhich looks like a “game of thrones” or “lord of the rings” was filmed here: a fortress wall with loopholes and towers stretched along a steep cliff. You can take a walk on the territory of the fortress and, rising to the very top, look at the pike perch from a height. In general, the place is well literally from all sides: both who are interested in history and those who like to enjoy the views will like it. The entrance ticket costs 200 rubles*.
Cape Megan

Megan and the lighthouse on Cape are another place where the head refuses to read geolocation. You are either in the Crimea, or in the Faroe Islands, or in general in some incredible world somewhere in a computer game. The Meganic lighthouse itself is completely low – only 12 meters, but pretty, like a picture from a book about adventure.
It is better to come here at sunset or dawn, so think in advance how to combine this trip with an inspection of pike perch and environs.
Crimea is amazing. My main advice: Avoid crowds, planning to visit places to be alone with nature. Then you will see that the peninsula is not only a popular resort location, but also a place where you can feel calm and relax your soul.
