Rhodes, as you know, is the hottest of the Greek islands. In the most literal sense: when in Crete or Corfu, it is considered to be a feat of walking knee -deep in water, in Faliraki and Lindos they are already swimming in full swing.
That is why many go to rest on Rhodes already in May, in the seemingly not at all beach time. On the other hand, a trip to the Greek Island, located on the very border of the Mediterranean and Aegean seas, in July-August does not look the most reasonable event. Even among those tourists who are “knee -deep”, it becomes difficult to completely ignore the heat of almost African.
And what is the weather on Rhodes in June? Is it just as generous at temperatures over +35 degrees as the other two summer months? Or allows you not to melt in the sun and not to melt in the manner of ice cream when trying to examine something?
We tried to take into account not only our own experience (fortunately, very successful), but also other opinions. And they must admit that unity is not observed!
For some in the reviews admit that during the rest in the June Rhodes they were not too comfortable. They suffered from the heat, the abundance of the sun and the literal impossibility of at least briefly left the conditioned space.
Other citizens, for starters, have burned down by oversight, adapt without any problems. And they find the strength not only to go to the beach, but even to travel the island
Again, a lot depends on the specific year. Well, of course, subjective personal sensations. Someone is not able to get out of the number at +30 and above the degrees of Celsius. Others will walk around the sun at noon and not suffer too much.
Weather on Rhodes in June
Often admits even perfect! And we completely agree with this – most tourists who decided to spend a week on Rhodes in early summer will not find significant grounds for complaints. And why – they go to this island precisely in order to warm up!
At the very beginning of June, the air temperature in Rhodes can be either moderate-not higher than +25-27 ° C-or high-up to +28-30 ° C. It is not worth counting that such a period will last a long time. Since even before the expiration of the first decade of the month, the weather on the island becomes truly hot-stably higher than +30-32 ° C.
In other years, long before the middle of the month, a whole “red -hot” week with temperatures of about +35 or more degrees may follow. And for this you should be prepared initially!
Further – more? Fortunately, no! Typically, Rhodes during June lives with relatively comfortable +30 degrees Celsius. Only occasionally it is covered by waves of almost African heat.
In the evenings, but diligently cold. At night, the air temperature drops to +20-22 ° C in the first half of the month, and K +24-26 ° C, closer to July. Which in the most favorable way affects the sensations – at sunset and after it, resorters can take a little breath.
Note that the humidity is in a healthy range of 50-70%, because rains in Rhodes in June are extremely rare. And the midday heat is quite effectively leveled by fresh sea breeze.
How to dress
Is it worth the high probability of hot weather to take clothes with you on vacation to the sea that is not part of a standard beach set of sundresses, t -shirts and topics, shorts and bridges, sandals and sandals?
It depends on specific circumstances and planned activity. On a significant size of the seaside hills on Rhodes, the wind sometimes blows so that without a jacket it becomes cool.
That is, to those who plan to travel a lot around the island, it is better to take a light windbreaker or hoodies with you and not worry. Rather than chill and limit the time of stay at elevated observational points. Yes, and in the evenings-if you like to watch how the sun sits in the sea-some blouse will not be superfluous at all!
We will definitely advise you to take with you to Rhodes and sneakers or other shoes suitable for tracking. Since the rise to local hills often becomes a test. And rocky crumbling soil on the paths very poorly holds flat sandals.
Water temperature
Sometimes it becomes a cause for disapproval. For in early June, the sea off the coast of Rhodes is not heated enough. By the way – most travelers think.
And they can be understood-water with a temperature of +21-22 ° C-is completely unsolvable for the “warm” Greece. Another thing is Türkiye, where in June you can swim literally from dawn to sunset?!
Other vacationers, on the contrary, believe that cool water in air temperatures is about +30 ° C perfectly. Therefore, of course, even at the start of June in Rhodes they are actively bathing.
In the second half of the month, the grounds for complaints about the cool sea completely disappear. Since the water area is systematically and without retreats to +24-26 ° C.
If you do not know which beach to choose on Rhodes, then remember that the Mediterranean Sea (East Coast: Kalitea, Faliraki, Strendya) is slightly warmer than Aegean. Yes, and more dead in terms of waves and winds.
Prices 2025
Talking about the cost of air tickets is more or less pointless – it all depends on where you go on a trip from. Naturally, transit flights to Rhodes from Moscow through Turkey will cost more, and direct: from London, for example, it is much cheaper.
As for hotels, even for 60-70 €/day for two in June in Rhodes you can find excellent options for living. To these, we are primarily classified by Iatridis Studios Faliraki in a popular town of Faliraki among tourists. There is a supermarket and a bus stop nearby, you can reach the beach in a few minutes. In about 20 minutes you will reach the center of the island of the capital.
Would you like to dwell on the eastern, but on the northern coast of Rhodes? For example, in Yalisos? There are also excellent offers, although in general prices are slightly higher.

Car rental
In Rhodes in the summer months, it is not cheap-from 40-50 € per day. But this measure, alas, is almost forced – on buses and in the heat you will hit a little.
Is the roads on the island of excursions? By no means-for just 15-20 € you can take part in the bus trip to Lindos and to the Seven Sources. Day cruise on the ship according to the most picturesque bays of the island in the “All inclusive” format will cost 60-65 €!
What to do
As we have already hinted above, few go to Rhodes in early summer, counting exclusively on a beach vacation. The vast majority of tourists plans to see at least a couple of island attractions in addition. Well, someone will not sit on the spot at all-you can swim in the morning and evenings?!
Note that the list of the most interesting places in Rhodes contains no more than a dozen points. But they are not at all nearby! To get, for example, from the Palace of Great Masters in the capital to Cape Prasonisi in the south of the island, you will have to overcome 90 km.
The first should be visited at least because of the excellent degree of preservation of both the castle itself and internal interiors. About the obligatory visit to Prasonisi, the famous watershed between the Mediterranean and Aegean seas, you should not say – every first of the foreigners who visited Rhodes must have been there.

Acropolis in Lindos
The ruins of the monolithos fortress, “nesting” on the wooded coastal rock, from where the species crushing in strength, are popular. Everyone probably heard about the famous Tsambik beach. Yes, and swim there – many!
Extremely photogenic and the beach in Anthony Kuin Bay. Learing near the village of Faliraki, which is already mentioned by us and therefore very rarely empty.
It is difficult to get to the main Rhodes peak of Ataviros (1 215 meters) – not all cars will overcome the rocky path upstairs. But even on foot (on the finish segment), the ascent looks like a justified spin. For the panoramas of the surroundings are remarkable – you can look around all Rhodes!
Do not deny yourself a visit to the neighboring island of Simi. Thanks to its multi -colored houses, it looks completely openly looking against the background of the azure sea.
You can get from the Rhodes port to Simi yourself. But the cost of an organized tour seems to be not so high that you want to organize a trip yourself?!
