In the Kudablin project, we send completely different people on traveling at our expense! Nikolai Egorov visited Copenhagen: climbed onto one of the most dangerous viewing platforms of the city, tried a dozen varieties of Danish beer and felt like a local resident, having bathed in the city fountain. Read more – in his report!

See the first part of the report here.

Copenhagen in the summer is a wonderful place to drink beer! A joyful city, where naked girls are cooling in fountains and gray -bearded men in colored skirts invite to crush on beer! As a homegrown beer expert, I went to Denmark to try all possible beer varieties in supermarkets up to 20 Danish crowns per bottle.

This did not prevent me from taste even export varieties created by the highest invitation from the royal court. To control my degree of joy – I came up with a rebus that Andersen in Copenhagen, and Carlson in Stockholm. As soon as the doubt about this increased – I climb into the fountains, since it is popular here. And of course the main plus – in Denmark you can just drink beer like this in public places!

Come on another bottle, huh? – This character lured, it was difficult to refuse …

My path began to the Pip Marathon from the airport, I decided to save and go on foot to the city center, buying beer in stores on the road. Here is the first stopping point.

He looked at the shelves with beer for a long time, cutting off international brands to join local varieties. The most local one looked like KB Juleoes, I was very attracted to the gnome on the label. Danish crown, all affairs, elegant 0.33l. I find the nearest sharp piece of iron, open and sip it. Hmm, sweetish, where is the beer? I look at the bottle – the fortress is 1.7%. Kvass, my friend. Juleoes is by the way Christmas, and on the label – Santa. This is a sweet “white” beer that is consumed with pudding. But I did not have a pudding, far from Christmas, so the assessment from me is kvass kvass.

It’s hot, I supplement the cranberry juice with a bottle of cranberry juice. This drink from Rynkeby is just a shine, 67% of natural cranberries, moderately sweetened, while preserving acid and tartly ripe clawing. He drank a bottle and did not blink an eye. Of course, I do not get into the beer rating, but I recommend it. Even in our Estonia, it was not yet that cranberry juice did not fall on such.

I wanted to go to the park, but I got to the cemetery, there were many cozy places here, but not a single shop, so I went on.

The sun blinded his eyes, trucks with a local noisy youth were rushing around. The boys and girls clearly overtook me in a tasting of beer, it was also necessary to accelerate.

Drink beer like us! – shouted the girls from the body. I hurriedly began to look for another supermarket.

The next purchase was more dense. Cocio – this is where I decided to start, sitting on a lawn. “Milk, sugar, cocoa – and that’s all” – the signature on the label reads. The drink is popular, the shaft lies in every supermarket. It is easily drunk, most likely, that the milk is very prejudicized and reduced oily, the bottles lie right on the shelves, and not in the refrigerator. A very pleasant drink, I generally love milk. Milk is thrown into the furnace and I start the next bottle.

With beer, I decided to mix another drink from Rynkeby in my stomach – I thought it was blueberries or black currants. But figures – Hyldebaer – this is an elderberry! Abundantly sugared – it can probably only be added to cocktails. I could drink a couple of sips of everything. And this despite the fact that I like to gully overturn the can of condensed milk. Acquaintance with Buzina’s juice did not grow together.

Everything, go to beer. Of course, Carlsberg. Sorry, relations with the tube did not set me since childhood, because the tubular in Ukraine was always a terrible swill, invigorated by local factories. Although the tubular belongs to Carlsberg. The main problem of any megabrand is instead of beer, painted water is obtained, which is the same at any point in the globe and can be stored for a year and more: mass production costs.

So, Master Brews from Carlsberg. It looks like a camp, a little bitter light beer, there is almost no aftertaste, and nothing pleasant in the taste train – too. Cheap beer is when the most delicious phase during infusion into the throat. Like Light Obolon, which is only drunk from a two -liter PET bottle …. Master Brue holds lower positions in my rating.

You give unusualness, give authentic-shouted an inner voice and bought a wheat eco-el. Lègismose is a local wine brand, it has all the resources in Danish. I began to drink this wheat ale and spat it out. A sour harsh mash is what it was. And the aftertaste-like from some kind of shampoo. Sorry, I probably have not grown up to an eco-saw.

The bottle of eco-el is poured into the grass. The foam is so thick that it lasted for several minutes. A negative assessment in my rating.

So, where is Carlson – the question began to play in his head. It’s time to look for a fountain and cool, the heat rose above the mark of 30 degrees.

In this fountain is fun, but all places are occupied, let’s go further.

Field of Wonders? No, this is a roulette – which of the city parks to go for a walk. Great activity for those who already do not know where to go. I have a park at the Museum of Arts.

To make it boring, I meet Carlsberg Porter. Fortified 6.8% and sweet dark beer, hits so well. Good aftertaste for inexpensive beer. Carlson and Andersen slipped more and more from me in the thirty -degree heat and ….

… And I found this wonderful fountain at the Museum of Arts. There were chairs in the water, just a sight for sore eyes.

Great water refreshed my head and legs, I regretted that I did not take the swimming trunks with me. The state is “ok”, we go to the next beer oti.

Royal exports, at the invitation of the Danish crown. This is precisely that light painted water with a pleasant beer taste, and even 5.6% of alcohol. Gently flows and brings to the desired condition. Getting drunk is a wonderful beer, try something tasty-not about this beer. Sorry, the export brand of the Danish crown.

The end is a crown, the best beer came across to me last. Black bird from the local small brewery Fuglsang. Good light beer type, a pleasant bitter aftertaste. With pleasure, I savored the jar to the very last sip. The first place in my subjective rating of Danish beer.

And what the locals love – it was easy to find out, many walked the streets and drank beer from jars. Often it was a tubular. He approached, asked the same simple comrades as I, sprinkling beer sitting right on the street-for some reason they praised the tube. But the enmity accumulated from his youth to the Ukrainian tube did not allow to step over herself and try this beer again.

Flavored with beer, juices and milk – I measuredly watched how the day was nearing the end of the Canal Schuhavn, after an hour my brain enlightened so that I remembered that it was here that Hans Christian Andersen lived. The storyteller was not a fool and occupied as many as three houses near the embankment.
