1. US dollars
The Nepal Rupia rate hesitates greatly, so they are accepted for a visa only in US dollars (someone says that you can pay for non-Palian rupees, but not everyone succeeds).
If you forgot to change dollars, then there is a banking apparatus and an exchanger right away, but the course, of course, will not be the most profitable. A bank card for payment is also not always accepted, although the “We Accept MasterCard” sign is hanging.
2. Printed visa profile
The questionnaire is composed in English. You can fill it out here.
If you flew without a questionnaire, special devices for issuing visa profiles are in the airport hall.
We advise you to view the questionnaire in advance so as not to waste time translating text from English on the border.
3. A foreign passport with a validity period of at least six months from the moment the visa starts.
4. Two color or black and white photographs with a size of 3 × 4 cm (they can also be made in special devices where you will fill out the form for a visa).
5. There are also questionnaires of Arrival Information and Departure Information. All fill them, but customs officers put them in a common folder without checking. At the departure, I wrote Oleg Gazmanov in it, it skated 🙂
6. The ballpoint pen will be required to fill out the questionnaire.
The cost of visas
- Visa for 15 days – $ 25 (1,425 ₽)
- Visa for 30 days – $ 40 (2,280 ₽)
- Visa for 90 days – $ 100 (5 700 ₽)
If you still have unused visa days, then you can use them this year, you cannot transfer them next year. For example: in 2017, you took a visa for 30 days, stayed in Nepal only 20 and flew away, then during 2017 you can use the remaining 10 days.
The process of drawing up a visa takes no more than 20-30 minutes.
Step -by -step instructions for drawing up a visa at the Katmandu airport:
1. Fill in the arrival information questionnaire (as I wrote above, they do not particularly check it).
2. If you already have a printed and filled form of a visa questionnaire, then go to the Visa on Arrival window.
If not, then to the Visa Application device. Fill out all the data. You need to know the name and address of the hotel; If you do not have a hotel, then you can write any – the customs service does not particularly check.
You can also take a photo in the device, for free. It is not printed, but sent to a computer to a visa specialist.
After all the operations are completed, the device will give you a quit.
3. Visa on Arrival. Give up:
a) a receipt from the apparatus or a pre -printed and completed questionnaire for a visa + 2 photos.
b) a passport.
c) the amount, according to the duration of your stay in Nepal.
d) Questionnaire Arrival Information.
4. So far, they are glued to a passport, and then go to passport control under the Without Visa plate. There are usually no queues here. The customs officer fills you with a visa.
And welcome to the country where the Buddha was born!
