Alanya in April 2026 – is it worth going on vacation? Weather and reviews, water and air temperature, is it possible to swim, how to dress, prices for tours, air tickets, hotels. What to do and what to see in Alanya in April, where to go with children and go – in Turkey – says Eurotraveler.

Alanya, as is known, – the warmest place throughout Turkey. The resort that is the last to see off autumn and the first to welcome spring.

And he only sleeps with half an eye in the winter months – today even a child knows that in January in Alanya you can and should relax.

It’s possible – because it’s still warm there in a way that winter doesn’t happen in any of the southernmost regions of Russia. But it is necessary – for the most banal reason!

The cost of a trip to a decent Alanya hotel and even with meals unlikely to be higher than the cost rest in an average sanatorium in the Moscow region

Where you will eat diet porridge and walk sadly along paths overlooking soggy lawns. Counting the days left until we return.

However, we got very distracted. For in general they intended to paint the atmosphere and bouquet of possibilitieswhich miraculously form in Alanya in April.

At the very time when spring, albeit tentatively, begins to take the reins into its hands. And nature blooms in a gorgeous waystarting a new life cycle!

Weather in Alanya in April

It can hardly be described in just a couple, albeit scathing sentences. Because in reality it can be impetuous and not very stable.

Although, if you look at the graphs, the air temperature in Alanya consistently approaches climb higher. Practically making no retreats into already covered ranges.

April in Alanya usually begins with temperatures of about +15-17 degrees Celsius during the day and +12-14 at night. What’s in the background almost always perfect blue sky and the rather weak winds look encouraging.

In any case, already in the first ten days of the month there are tourists on the streets – how can you not go on an excursion in such and such weather? And sometimes people are dressed somehow totally summery: in Hawaiian shirts, light jackets, frivolous sandals.

Captain’s caps and long-brimmed hats are adorned on their heads – it all looks as if the highest of beach seasons has already begun

Further more – closer to the 20th of April you can expect an episodic increase in atmospheric degrees in Alanya, even up to +22-24 during the day. Although another picture may emerge – about +18-20 °C on an ongoing basis.

Closer to May, street thermometers expertly settle at around +20 °C long before noon. And even at night, air temperatures try not to drop below +16-17 degrees Celsius.

Is it any wonder that the reviews from those who visited Alanya at the end of April are positive? And in almost every one the author communicates his ardent desire come here again…at the same time!

Rain is very rare, and humidity is in the commendable range of 65-70%. The atmosphere is pleasantly fresh, and nature is in full bloomsaturating the boulevards with unimaginable aromas.

There is even an opinion that April in Alanya is the most beautiful month of the year. Life-affirming – that’s the minimum!

  • What fruits ripen in Alanya, Turkey in spring?

Water temperature

It is unlikely that you will be able to count on a full-scale beach holiday. In early April, the Mediterranean Sea off the coast of Alanya warms up to only +17, rarely +18 °C – and the temperature rise is very slow. So much so that by the time May arrives, the water temperature reaches “only” +20 degrees Celsius.

Therefore, according to the general opinion, if you should swim in Alanya in April, then in heated hotel pools. Although swimming enthusiasts and seasoned individuals are undoubtedly will also test the sea area.

Moreover, in mid-spring there is often a natural calm here. And that means you won’t get (very) very cold when you climb back onto the shore.

How to dress

The general weather mood encourages nonsense. Unbridled optimism reigning in the atmosphere, wants to undress and catch the literally splashing energy of nature with all the pores of the skin.

But thinking logically, that is, based on numbers, it is still better to take with you on a trip and more practical clothes.

Not quite demi-season – leave the quilted jackets to the residents of Alanya themselves. But such that you don’t have to blow on your fingers when the air temperature drops (this could very well happen) to +15-16 °C.

So jackets and windbreakers, sweaters, pullovers, sweatshirts, trousers along with breeches and shorts must be present in your vacation suitcase. If you are going on vacation with children, pay special attention to your clothes and put them “with reserve”!

At the same time, do not forget to collect other useful things that are worth taking to Turkey.

Don’t forget to pack (at least) a pair of comfortable, wearable shoes in your luggage. Since even sedate and calm tourists in April Alanya come to mind extremely provocative thoughts.

As for visiting ancient city policies, which are physically difficult to reach. Or natural canyons with very complex terrain.

Many tourists do not limit themselves to suburban excursions, but go further on their own based on emotions.

After all, for example, the distance from Alanya to Cappadocia by highway is only 500 km. And it takes about 6 hours to overcome it by car.

And if you have a strong desire, you can easily go to Istanbul from the resort!

Prices 2026

If you focus on really good accommodation options located in Alanya itself, we recommend paying attention to separate apartments. Like those offered to vacationers at Twin Apart Hotel (rating 9.0).

Located just 1-2 minutes walk from Cleopatra Beach. And for a fee of up to 80 € per day (big discounts are possible) I am ready to accommodate THREE vacationers.

By the way, breakfast here costs only 5 extra euros per person.

As expected, Cleopatra King Apart is in demand. A residential complex where you can rent a room for only 30-40 € – again, for three!

In the reviews, “Cleopatra Apartments” are highly praised – after all, literally everything significant in Alanya can be reached from there in 5-10 minutes!

In the middle of spring, the price is not too high and another good option is Comfortable Luxury Holiday Home (9.2). Representing a spacious apartment with an area of as much as 60 m2! For 5 nights of accommodation here, including taxes, they will charge 170 €!

The cost of week-long tours to Alanya from Moscow in the first half of April starts from 95-100 thousand rubles for two. For this money you will have to relax in a good 3 or even 4 star hotel with all inclusive.

And – perhaps – even heated swimming pool!

If you shift your vacation to dates after April 20, the price range changes slightly. However, it’s not critical: you’ll have to pay 10-15% more for the same thing.

Things to do

Obviously, even at the end of April in Alanya you are unlikely to want to spend all your time on the beach. After all, the weather at this time is so good for a variety of excursionshikes and trips.

And there are so few tourists that it would be a sin to miss such a wonderful opportunity!

We wrote earlier about what you can visit in Alanya itself. The set is not too large, somewhat standard, and is usually tried out by everyone on their very first trip.

And, nevertheless, even if you have previously been to the very top of the local kalesi, that is, a fortress, in the manner of royalty, reclined on Cleopatra’s beach and rode a cable car, do it again. Or two…

After all, the opening distances are so pure and beautifulthat ask to be immortalized in the digital memory of a smartphone. And the sky and sea are so serene in their blue-turquoise beauty that you can look at them for hours.

Without rushing anywhere and simply forgetting about time. An incredibly valuable resource, by the way, for every traveler.

Alanya is definitely worth a look from the sea. Take a ride on a well-riveted replica of an ancient ship along the coast.

The cruise will bring a lot of pleasure to adults, but children will simply be delighted with it!

You must somehow entertain your offspring while the local (and very good, judging by the reviews) Sealanya Sea Park, which is symbiosis of a water park and a dolphinarium, still closed? Moreover, a sea cruise will cost much less money than, for example, a trip to the aquarium in Antalya!

Where to go

Outside the city, we definitely recommend visiting the ancient city of Syedra. After all, climbing to it in such weather will seem like a pleasure even to people who are not at all athletic.

Also in mid-spring it is definitely worth visiting picturesque Sapadere Canyon. And maybe get to Köprülü National Park.

Which the blossoming nature in the spring paints in indecently fresh, bright shades.

Risky people will probably want to go rafting there. Or even paraglid over Alanya!

Snow-whites look amazingly photogenic in April ruins in Side.

A huge antique Aspendos amphitheater is not even preparing for summer opera performances yet. And – why not – it may be completely deserted during your visit.

As for long-distance trips, we recommend visiting Cappadocia in April. Also vigorously blooming, fresh and bright. But not yet not overcrowded with tourists.

It’s not difficult to organize such a trip yourself: in our article we described in detail how to do it. If you don’t want to count and estimate, you can also book a 2-day excursion – fortunately, it costs less than 60 € per person.

The right step would be trip to Pamukkale. The place is remarkable and has long been listed among the top attractions in Turkey. But it has a significant disadvantage: during the season it is too hot and incredibly crowded.

Obviously, in mid-spring, tourist buses are not yet heading to the travertine pools of Pamukkale in a cavalcade. And you can wander around the Cotton Castle without being crowded by anyone.

And then swim in Cleopatra’s healing pool, if not in the absence, then in the presence of a modest number of witnesses.
