Tashkent in April 2026 – is it worth going on vacation? Weather and reviews, air temperature in Uzbekistan, how to dress, prices for air tickets and hotels. Will it be “hot like in Tashkent” in April, what to do and what to see – says Eurotraveler.

Few people would seriously dispute the assertion that April is not considered a good time for long trips. The kind that you wouldn’t mind spending a week or two of your annual vacation on.

After all, in the middle of spring there are few places where you can find snow-covered slopes. And if you do catch it, you still can’t be sure of the safety (due to avalanches) of skiing.

As for “beach” destinations, yes – in the spring they are more in demand. In the sense that citizens who are gradually recovering from hibernation are excitedly joining the game.

And they are booking tours, tickets and hotels in full swing, preparing for their summer vacation!

It is difficult to resist such a massive pattern of behavior, because it is extremely widespread and, let’s be honest, incredibly attractive. But we will still try to persuade you to take a risk. make an unconventional move.

And not giving a damn about strict savings (saving and saving for a summer vacation), carve out 5 days or even a week for a trip to Tashkent in April.

The city is ancient, but at the same time modern. Oriental in some ways, but at the same time not ossified by prejudices, not requiring tourists to strictly adhere to a (straining) dress code.

It has a very small number of its own attractions (the rest were carried away by the 1966 earthquake – onznews.wdcb.ru/apr16/info_160421.html). But surrounded by cities, each of which is worthy of a separate trip – who wouldn’t want to see Samarkand even in 1 day?

Is this really not enough to decide? Moreover, as a reward for courage you will receive not just spring, but sometimes very summer weather.

Plus – some savings!

After all, prices for tours in spring Uzbekistan, as well as for air tickets or hotels, have only just begin their ascent to the peaks. Which, of course, will be achieved. But a little later: in May and June!

Weather in Tashkent in April

At times it justifies the common statement “it’s hot, like in Tashkent.” Rather, they are even often justified – by the end of April, natural summer, one might say, begins in the capital of Uzbekistan.

And the values of street thermometers reach +28 and even +30 degrees Celsius!

Although the central month of spring in Central Asia starts more modestly. In particular, in early April in Tashkent it is rather warm than hot.

In the first ten days of the month, the daytime air temperature can reach +23-25 °C. However, there are also days when it does not rise to +20 degrees Celsius.

And if you are persistent and attentive, you will definitely find mention of this in many thematic reviews.

Of course, there is no need to complain about this – similar weather conditions perfect fit for long walking excursions. Undoubtedly, for travel too.

In warm, clear weather, it’s so nice to go somewhere in the direction of mountains rising up like immovable boulders and crowned with snowy domes?!

  • What to visit in Tashkent and nearby first of all

Nights

in early April Tashkent you can feel incredible freshness. However, not excessively – the atmosphere prefers to cool to +13-15 °C, in rare cases – to +7-10 °C.

Which, naturally, requires some forethought in choosing clothes. But it does not create noticeable problems – it is a rare European who goes abroad in the middle of spring wearing only shorts and a T-shirt.

In mid-April, sultry weather may set in in Tashkent, the air warms up even up to +35 °C. And although this heat quickly subsides (it’s not June or even May on the calendar), and temperatures around +8 °C can be recorded at night, a few days later spring attacks with renewed vigor.

So the capital of Uzbekistan often meets the end of April and the beginning of May with daytime temperatures of about +28-30 °C and night temperatures of +14-17 °C. You will probably agree that everyone (tourists) only dreams of weather like this?!

Again,

It will rain at this time

moderate – the average monthly precipitation does not exceed 50 mm. This is approximately the level that does not allow nature to completely dry up from thirst, and tourists – make the most of your trip.

The probability of a clear day ranges from 60-70%. The duration of daylight hours is gradually increasing from 12 hours 40 minutes to almost 14 hours – on the threshold of May.

Needless to say, this creates additional opportunities for active travelers – why not go and see Samarkand?! Or in general – Bukhara and Khiva?

Prices 2026

Flights from Moscow to Tashkent and back seem to be are not cheap: both in April and at other times of the year. So for a round trip flight, an adult passenger will have to pay from 30-35 thousand rubles.

During the year, the price experiences very slight fluctuations. And you just have to come to terms with this – pricing in this direction is not yet determined by tourist flows at all.

But hotels in Tashkent are quite affordable in mid-spring. Even those in which you want to stay without hesitation.

About 50 € per day for two guests – a very reasonable price!

This is exactly how much, for example, they charge for a room at the City Center Hotel. Which, not only is it located in the city center, that is, within walking distance of the main attractions, but also maintains impeccable cleanliness in the rooms.

A little more expensive (about 70 €, but for three) is the brand new, well-kept Avant Hotel Tashkent Pool&Terrace, located not far from the largest in Uzbekistan and in Central Asia in general amusement park Magic City. A visit to which will almost certainly appeal not only to children, but also to adults.

Prices for excursions, on the contrary, a bit tall. So much so (for a sightseeing tour of Tashkent in the company of a Russian-speaking guide they ask from 50 € per person) that one can be perplexed – after all, the capital of Uzbekistan is not Paris.

A one-day trip (by train – tickets included) accompanied by a guide to Samarkand will cost 130-150 € per person. An introductory road trip to the Chimgan Mountains and Charvak Reservoir costs a little less.

What to take with you

It is quite obvious that you could use some moderately warm clothes: sweatshirts and sleeveless vests, windbreakers, jackets and sweaters. The presence of which will allow you to feel confident both in the mornings and evenings, and on a trip to mountainous areas – and to the Charvak reservoir.

We recommend taking with you to Uzbekistan shoes suitable for trekking. Don’t forget to put it in your suitcase sunscreen and the same glasseswide-brimmed hats and long-sleeved shirts.

All this will come in handy both during hikes in the mountains and during long walks in Samarkand or in the hot sun-baked old city of Bukhara.

To enter Uzbekistan, all Russians only need a foreign passport – no visa is required

But they don’t ask at the border of Uzbekistan about the availability of medical insurance. Which, however, will not be superfluous if you are traveling with small children or are prone to adrenaline-filled and not very safe entertainment such as mountaineering.

General check-in upon arrival not required. Such an obligation will arise only if you stay in Uzbekistan for more than 15 days – uzbekistan.mid.ru/dlya_grazhdan_rossii/vremennoe_prebyvanie_v_uzbekistane/.

Things to do

Despite the prevailing image that identifies Tashkent with the desert, this city quite green and full of parks. What exactly in April the traveler has an excellent opportunity to see for himself.

Should you expect to see cherry plum and almond, apricot and peach blooming at this time? But this is unlikely – such life-affirming events usually occur in Tashkent in March. If at all – not at the end of February!

However, you will receive your share of optimism. Both from walking through the gardens and from visiting other attractions of Tashkent such as Khast-Imam Square and the ancient religious complex located on it.

We also recommend going to the Chorsu market for souvenirs (and pilaf!), visiting the city Museum of Applied Arts and drinking a cup of coffee on the observation deck of the Tashkent TV Tower.

Popular entertainment includes the trips we mentioned above to the Chimgan Mountains and the Charvak Reservoir.

Tours from Tashkent to Samarkand are also popular. Which, conveniently, if desired, fit into a one-day format.

But a visit to Bukhara and Khiva, located even further away, will require more thorough preparation.

Primarily due to the greater distance (450 and 750 kilometers, respectively) separating these cities from the capital of Uzbekistan. And it is literally impossible to see all the significant sights in a few hours!
