Kash is a Turkish city that stands on a hill on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea next to Antalya. From here opens a wonderful view of the turquoise surface, spreading forests and the Greek island of Kastellorizo. Everyone will find a vacation here to their liking. Porridge is famous for beautiful beaches, excellent food, local brands, parallelide and sea walks.
The tiny town is not as popular among tourists as its resort comrades. Nevertheless, in the summer season it is quite crowded here. From October to mid -June, the sea remains cold, and the porridge is empty, and at this time you can safely inspect local attractions. We tell you what to pay attention to.
Entrance rules
Russians for entry into Turkey will only need a passport. Without a residence permit in the country you can be up to 60 days for six months. The local currency is the Turkish lyre (this is about four rubles).
How to get
The airports closest to porridge are located in Dalaman and Antalya, where there are direct flights from Moscow. In Dalaman, the cheapest tickets offers Pegasus Airlines-pay from 17,000 rubles*for a 4.5-hour flight*. It is more expensive and an hour longer to get an aeroflot – a one -way ticket costs from 26,000 rubles*.
In Antalya, the Russian airline “Victory”, S7, Iraero and Aeroflot fly 5.5 hours. Turkish Airlines spend 4.5 hours in the sky. Tickets in one direction cost from 20,000 rubles*. From Dalaman or Antalya you need to get to Fethiya and transfer to the bus to porridge. The trip will take about 2.5 and 5 hours, respectively.
Where to stop

What to see
Old town
It consists of multi -colored buildings and narrow prayer streets, among which it is so pleasant to get lost or suddenly pour into a cozy cafe with national dishes, a craft shop, a larue with handmade jewelry or the Doğruuol Caddesi lane full. From the central square of Cumhuriyet Meydanı, a view of the city harbor opens. There are many restaurants with terraces where you can relax and eat fried ice cream.
Harbor
Porridge is the starting point of many boat tours. Most excursions are designed for the whole day and include snorkeling or diving, but there are short sea walks. The most popular are trips to the sunken ancient city of Kekov and the city of Simen. Typically, the tour costs from 150 to 200 lire per person (from 600 to 800 rubles*), but you can bargain with sellers. A boat tour is a great opportunity to see the sights and not to rent a car.
In the evening, the harbor turns into a beautiful place to observe the sunset. If you want to enjoy peace, we recommend not to stay in the square, but to go to the rocks along the path to the lighthouse.
In addition, this is a point of attraction for paraglider. From here it is easy to get to the 650-meter Mount of Asas. For paralagayding, special preparation is not needed, before starting you will be a short introductory flight. And then you will spend about 30 minutes in the air. During this time, you can inspect the whole coast, the old city and the Greek island near the porridge.
Lycian tombs
In the vicinity of the city, the oldest burials have been preserved. Some were built long before the start of our era and even carved into the rock.
One of the main attractions is at the intersection of Atatürk BLV streets. and Bilginler SK. It will not work to pass by – the tomb of Kral Mezarı looks like a huge ancient sarcophagus, which is decorated with four lion heads. The roof of the tomb resembles a boat – the Lycians believed that it was on it that the souls of the dead float into the kingdom of the dead.
There are two rock tombs in the city. One of them, Likya Kaya Mezarları, is located east of Kral Mezarı, and the second on the path leading to the amphitheater. There is nothing left inside the caves, but on the way you can look at the arches carved in the rocks, carved roofs, faces and inscriptions.
Antiphellos amphitheater
It is located in a small national park near the main square, the entrance is free. It is nice to walk here during the day: spreading trees will hide you from the sun. And in the evening there is even better here: a wonderful view of cereals surrounded by the sea opens from the upper rows of the amphitheater. This is one of the best places to monitor the sunset, however, in the evening it can be crowded. Photo and video selection in the park are allowed, but you can’t run the drones, the local police are following this.
Kaputas beach
It is considered one of the most beautiful beaches of Turkey. It is formed by a gorge that goes into the sandy strip, so it is hidden from excess eyes with steep cliffs. There is an observation deck at the top, and the staircase leads down. The beach is equipped with zones with a toilet, shower and locker rooms, here you can rent a deck chair and an umbrella, there is also a food mall with different corner.
Kaputas is popular with tourists, so if you want to rent a deck chair in the summer season, come early in the morning or after 16 hours. The beach is about a 30 -minute drive from porridge, a bus goes to it, but the easiest way to get by car or a taxi. A one -way trip will cost about 150 Turkish lire (600 rubles*).
Beach Küçük çakıl
The beach in the center of the city is unusual. This is a small lagoon surrounded by rocky cliffs. Several calm currents intersect near the shore, so water can be simultaneously cool at the very bottom, warm slightly higher, again cool in the middle and the most comfortable temperature at the surface. The beach is equipped with zones with a toilet, shower and locker rooms, here you can rent a chair and an umbrella, and there are many cafes and restaurants around. Küçük çakıl is quite popular with tourists, so it is better to come here right in the morning.
BILAL’s beach
This beach is located next to the three others, together they are called Limanağzı Plajı. BILAL’s – far and therefore the most sparse, quiet and cozy. Here you will be given a bungalow or deck chair for a day for free, if you buy food and drinks in the amount of 80 lire per person (about 320 rubles*) on the territory.
You can get here on a boat taxi from the harbor porridge. Tickets are sold in a kiosk on the pier, for a trip there and back, pay 40 lire (about 160 rubles*) per person. In the opposite direction, a taxi sail from 14:00 to 18:00 every half hour.
Hykying track Lycian Way
The Lycian path is an equipped tourist trail that stretches along the coast of ancient Lycia from Fethiya to Antalya past porridge. In total, its length is about 500 km. The peculiarity of this path is that you can “enter” it in any of the coastal cities on the route and also calmly stop the path.
In the tourist center on the main square, are issued terrain and brief guides. The trail itself is equipped, completely safe and is suitable for tourists at any level of training. On the route there are signs with the designations of ancient places or sign events.
The key point is the “flag”. This is the name of the observation deck on the mountain of Sleeping Giant, where the view on the coast from a height of 480 m opens. And it is easy to see from the ground – it seems to hang over the city and looks like a giant that lies on its side.
Saklikent National Park
The Saklikent gorge is one of the deepest canyons in the world. Two routes have been laid for tourists: the first four kilometers of the paths are fully equipped and will be comfortable for travelers with any level of training, and the remaining 14 km will only come to professionals who will come with their climbing equipment. The first route ends in front of the waterfall, and the second begins in the same place – it is necessary to move through the water stream, so it will not work to get to a difficult level by chance.
There will be different adventures along the way: you have to climb the rocks (with equipment that will be given out at the entrance, it is safe) or walking along the river to the ankle -deep depth. Depending on the time of the year, the flow can be different, therefore, for convenience, a rope is stretched over the river. In the rainy season (especially in the most moist months, January and December) it is dangerous to visit the canyon: the water level can rise, and then the route will be closed.
In the gorge along the path there are several natural mud ponds in which you can make a free face mask or even take a mud bath.
Near the park are a cafe, a toilet and a tourist center where rubber boots are leased. The entrance costs about 20 Turkish lire (about 80 rubles*) per person.
MEIS island
This is a bonus gear for those who have a Schengen visa. In a 20 -minute swimming boat from the porridge is the Greek island of Kastellorizo (aka Meis). This is a great idea for a trip for one day or weekend. Explore the ruins of the Paleokastro castle, and at a 15 -minute walk from the port, visit the Lycian Tomb Tomb, which is carved in the rock. They come here to look at the famous blue grotto, go to Greek restaurants and wander along cozy narrow streets with craft shops and bright buildings.
