Thailand, Vietnam, Indonesia and Malaysia are the most famous directions of Juva for a beach holiday. They go there behind the warm sea and the ocean all year round, exotic and affordable seafood. We understand what the peculiarity of each country is.
Thailand
The most popular direction in Southeast Asia. In addition to long sandy beaches and the gentle sea, Thailand offers a huge variety of excursion relaxation. Here you can get to the old temple complexes, look at the colorful life of Thais in floating villages or get through the mangroves to picturesque waterfalls. After changing the dollar exchange rate, the country no longer seems so cheap, but local seafood and fruits are still cheaper than in Russia.
There are two popular resorts in Thailand – the city of Pattaya and the island of Phuket. The first more lively, multi -storey, noisy, in some places dirty, but not as expensive as Thai Islands. Fans of bright nightlife come here or those who like an active city vacation. In the evenings here you can walk along the famous pedestrian street Walking Street, and during the day go to the water park, dolphinarium or amusement park. The city has options for sea adventures, for example, night fishing, snorkeling or diving.
If you, on the contrary, value solitude and comfort, go to Phuket. Rest here is more expensive than in Pattaya, but the level of service is higher. There are no large cities on the island, everything is the most interesting in small coastal villages and mountains. Take the elephants, take a snork and diving, go to the Kao Sok National Park, go to Thai massage in the afternoon, and in the evening in a cabaret.
In addition to Phuket, for a beach vacation it is worth going to the island of Samui, to Krabi Province and the resort city of Kao Lak. However, keep in mind that the cost of rest here is more expensive than on Phuket and much higher than in Pattaya.
In Thailand, there are few hotels working on the All -inclusive system. Many accommodation facilities offer breakfast or half -board, but the last option is much more expensive. It is more profitable to book a room with or without food, since there are many cafes and restaurants outside the hotel for any wallet.
When to go
In the dry season from November to the end of February, when there are no rains and heat on the street. From March to May, precipitation is minimal, but the thermometer often rises above + 40⁰ C. During the rest of the year in Thailand, heavy rains and storm warnings often occur, and air humidity is very high.

Vietnam
Another top direction for a beach holiday. One of the most budgetary and party resorts in the country is the city of Nhagang. This is a large industrial Vietnamese center, therefore the sea here is often dirty. But there are a lot of entertainment in Nhang – in more detail we wrote about them here.
If you prefer a lazy rest and clean beaches, go to Muyna or Fanet. They are located nearby, but are distinguished by the concept of rest. Muyna is a great place for water activities, since strong winds often blow in this region and waves rise, so here you can often see the rods, kait and windsurf. But the pharmacy is suitable for a romantic journey and for a relaxing family vacation. Hotels are buried here in the greens of palm groves, and all entertainment are concentrated on the beach.
In the south of Vietnam is the island of Fukuok – an ideal place for secluded beach holidays, but with developed infrastructure. Inside the resort areas there are many hotels and luxury resorts, diving centers, restaurants and entertainment parks. And outside the tourist zone, wild beaches and impenetrable jungle, paradise nature and Vietnamese flavor are preserved. Prices in restaurants, hotels and grocery stores are high by local standards, and there are practically no historical attractions.
Accommodation in the resorts of Vietnam (except for the island of Fukuok) is much cheaper than in other countries of Southeast Asia. The “All inclusive” system in hotels is poorly developed, mainly only modest breakfasts are included in the cost of the room.
When to go
Vietnam will be pulled from north to south for thousands of kilometers, so the dry season at the main resorts of the country begins and ends at different times of the year. The best time for the trip is from February to April and from August to October, when rains rarely go and there is no suffocating heat. In the south of Vietnam, for example, on the island of Fukuok it is comfortable to relax from December to March.

Indonesia
A trip to Indonesia will definitely not be limited to rest on the beach. Although this is a country of eternal summer, it rains, cloudy weather and strong waves in the ocean happen here more often than in Thailand or in Vietnam. Therefore, it is better to choose Indonesia for those who are ready to combine a beach vacation with excursion. In addition, public transport is not so developed on the islands, and you will often have to move on rented stories, because many natural places simply do not get by a car.
The most developed and promoted beach resort of Indonesia is Bali Island. There is a large selection of various housing from inexpensive guest houses to spacious villas. The island is washed by two oceans, Indian and Pacific, so it rarely manages to swim calmly due to strong tides and castings. But this is in the hands of surfers who come here to catch waves. Among other entertainment – diving, rafting, cycling, climbing volcanoes, pedestrian routes deep into the jungle or ancient temples.
Fans of wildlife and secluded rest instead of Bali’s noisy island choose a neighboring grip. Here is especially picturesque nature with lakes, waterfalls and mountain peaks, and there are many coral reefs around the island with an exotic underwater world. The Muslim region, torn from civilization, here you will not meet noisy parties until morning and entertainment institutions. In addition, there are practically no cultural attractions.
To see real Indonesia without crowds of tourists, go to the beach resorts of the islands of Java and Sumatra. On the first there is the capital of Jakarta with ancient architecture, the National Reserve of the Udzhung Coles and the Krakatau Volcano. There are also two balneological resorts – Bogor and Bandug in Java. At Sumatra, you can feel like a pioneer, because a small part of tourists gets to the island. The infrastructure is poorly developed here, but nature overshadows possible disadvantages – deserted beaches with black volcanic sand, walking through the tropical forest of orangutans and a picturesque Lake of Toba.
For a budget vacation in Indonesia, choose the island of Bali, where there are many options for inexpensive guest houses, hostels and hotels. The “All inclusive” system is common in four and five-star hotels, but the cost of rest increases by 30-50%, therefore it is more profitable to book a number without food and tast the national kitchen in local cafes.
When to go
In Indonesia, the equatorial climate, and throughout the year hot and wet weather. It is better for a beach vacation to the islands during the dry season, which lasts from April to October. The rest of the year, tropical rain occurs, air humidity reaches 90%, and the water in the ocean is cloudy.

Malaysia
If Thailand, Vietnam and Indonesian Bali are in fullization, then Malaysia is not such a popular direction among Russian tourists. But that is why it is more beautiful here, because you are not surrounded by your native speech on the beach and everything around it seems so unusual. You can plunge into the Asian exotic with the head in the first place in the capital’s Kuala Lumpur, but you will not be able to swim here, so choose islands or cities on the coast.
The main beach resort of Malaysia is the island of Langkavi. The infrastructure is perfectly developed here, and for diving lovers on the island excellent conditions for immersion are a rich underwater world and transparent water. Connoisseurs of a secluded vacation will appreciate wide beaches with white sand, tropical forests with lakes and picturesque bays. And they also go to Langkavi to arrange shopping, because there is a duty-free zone here, and goods for goods are below average in Southeast Asia.
For an active nightlife, Asian flavor and more lively locations, go to a small Penang Island. In addition to traditional beach holidays, here you can explore Chinese and Indian architecture in the capital’s Georgetown, visit picturesque national parks and try delicious and cheap food of various Asian peoples.
To relax, surrounded by wildlife and protected areas, choose the islands of Pangkor and Borneo. These are the most green resorts without heights and noisy Asian streets, with wide sandy beaches, mountain parks and excellent locations with coral reefs for snorkeling. There is a large selection of budget housing and inexpensive seafood, but there is practically no familiar infrastructure for entertainment, as in Thailand or in Vietnam.
The cost of rest in Malaysia is slightly higher than on the island of Thai Phuket and is comparable to the level of the island of Fukuok in Vietnam. Popular resorts are presented large hotels-refers operating on the All-inclusive system, or budget guest houses. The latter rarely include breakfasts, and many services, for example, rental of a hair dryer or a change in bedding, are paid separately from the cost of the number.
When to go
There are no pronounced dry and humid seasons of the year in Malaysia, so any month is suitable for a beach holiday. In the east of the country, most of the precipitation falls from November to February, and in the west – in April, May, October and November. In these months, increased humidity is felt, and water in the sea becomes muddy.
