1. Santes Creus (Santes Creus)

The first monastery on your way-Santes-Kreus, is 98 km from Barcelona. The monastery is included in the so-called “Cistercian triangle” (the other two monasteries-he will fuck and Wallbon de Les-Mongs, the first of them will visit today). Cistercians are a Catholic monastic Order, which is a supporter of asceticism and reclusion.

This route through Catalonia sounds absolutely fascinating! The mix of history, nature, and culture is perfect for an enriching trip. I’m particularly intrigued by the Cistercian monasteries and their ascetic lifestyle—it’s incredible how much history is preserved in these places. Montblan seems like a medieval gem, and I’d love to explore its Gothic churches and fortress walls. The wine region also caught my attention—experiencing local flavors must be a highlight. Siurans sounds like a hidden treasure, perched on a rock. I wonder, what’s the best season to take this trip for optimal weather and fewer crowds? Would you recommend staying overnight in any of these places for a deeper experience?
