Nha Trang in February 2026 – is it worth going on vacation? Weather and reviews, water and air temperature, is it possible to swim, how to dress, prices for tours and hotels. What to do and what to see in Nha Trang and Vietnam in February, where to go and visit – says Eurotraveler.

Winter is not a time for rest and vacation. Its final segment – even more so!

This is what the majority thinks, and in principle, with good reason. If you’re going to rest, this is the best thing to do. at the most opportune time – in summer?!

But what if you break away from the common pattern? Change existing habits and develop new ones?

For example, try sweepingly relax in winter? Not at home and on the couch, but on the South Sea – in Vietnam?

And why not – in the same Nha Trang it is warm and even hot in February?

The sea is inviting hits the sandy shore with a wave or casts like immovable turquoise? Palm trees rustle their crowns, the sun is shining and even baking (if you forgot to apply cream), and there is practically no one around?

Yes, that’s right – in February in Vietnam there is beach season and off-season simultaneously. The interim period between the New Year holidays and March, when tourists begin to arrive in increasing numbers.

The time when tours are inexpensive and hotels rent out rooms just for next to nothing. That month that will allow you not only to relax, but even to fall in love with Vietnam?!

Weather in Nha Trang in February

From our point of view it can be called ideal for a beach holiday.

Some will complain about the small number of sunny days and often rough seas. But we tend to consider these not disadvantages, but even advantages.

Allowing you to plan exclusively balanced holiday:

with swimming and beach activities, a variety of outdoor activities and excursions

Air temperature in Nha Trang in February during the day rarely rises above +30 degrees Celsius. And very rarely it drops below +24.

There is no particular chance of freezing at night either. Since in most cases street thermometers after sunset show something in the range +21-24 °C.

Cloudy and partly cloudy days – in the majority

But this is for the best – even in such weather, northerners will burn out in Nha Trang in 10-15 minutes.

As for precipitation, its average monthly volume is up to 40 mm. Considering that we are talking about the tropics, we can admit that this almost “great dryness”.

In the few but vivid reviews of people who came to Nha Trang in February, you will find evidence – irecommend.ru/content/vetnam-byudzhetnyi-otdykh-v-azii. Evidence that there was either no rain at all, or they were insignificant and did not disrupt vacation plans in any way.

Length of day and wind

In February, the sun rises over Nha Trang at approximately 6 am. And it sets below the horizon shortly before 6 (18 hours) in the evening. Length of the day this way a little short of 12 o’clock.

The last month of winter at the resort is not the windiest month of the year – statistically it is inferior to December and January. However, the winds still create known problems for those who love more than just swinging on the waves and swimming.

Please note that at the end of winter, at least the central beach of Nha Trang often observes red flags.

Water temperature

The South China Sea is warm at this time of year +23-25 degrees Celsius. That is, in theory, you can swim in Nha Trang in February. And even in practice, it should work.

At the same time, we advise don’t let your guard down. And remember that the waves here can either overwhelm you or hit you on the bottom, even if it’s sandy.

In some places on the coast there are also dangerous rip currents. Here are the beaches of Nha Trang to choose for your holiday.

What to take with you

The first and mandatory thing to take with you in Nha Trang in Vietnam: in February or any other month – sunscreen that filters UV radiation as much as possible (SPF should be 50 or higher). Moreover, you should start using such skin protection literally from the very first minutes of your stay in the country.

In addition, take a first aid kit with you on your trip to Vietnam. Where is mandatory medications must be presentand in case of poisoning or indigestion, sunburn, allergies or a common cold.

Travel health insurance is a useful aid.

Especially if you are traveling to Nha Trang with a small child. Or do you have reasons to fear for the reaction of your body to both the tropical climate and the specific Vietnamese cuisine.

The level of sanitation in local restaurants and cafes is not the highest – we’re not even talking about street stalls, where they sometimes sell so many delicious things – another good reason secure yourself with documents

Summer clothes made from natural fabrics with sleeves and generally covering the skin well will definitely come in handy. Surely they will be in demand long-brimmed hats and panama hatssunglasses.

Do I need to take a jacket or windbreaker with me? Despite the fact that weather statistics seem to protest against such a “move,” we recommend putting something similar in your suitcase.

Prices

If you’re lucky with a discount, Moscow residents can find a week-long tour to Nha Trang in February for 150-170 thousand rubles (for two). Flights and accommodation in a good hotel included in this amountfood at best will only be breakfast.

When planning your trip on your own, you should focus on the following prices:

A flight from Moscow to Cam Ranh and back will cost 80+ thousand rubles per passenger with luggage.

Almost certainly flights for this money will not be direct, but transit. Which will accordingly lengthen the duration of the trip (how many hours to fly to Nha Trang in Vietnam).

But hotels in the Vietnamese resort inexpensive at the end of winter. And you can live, if not on the first line, then still not far from the central beach, for modest – let’s call it even ridiculous – money!

You can find a double room for less than 15 € per night in the modest but quite satisfactory BN Boutique Nha Trang Beach. Where guests are fed “continental” breakfasts for 3 €!

Unlike the first option, it is not located right next to the beach. But still very close to it. And, in addition, it has heated swimming pool right on the roof!

Participation in an organized excursion from Nha Trang will cost 25-60 € per person.

In the first case, some kind of cruise along the coastwith prepaid lunch on board and snorkeling in some picturesque bay. In the second, you will be able to accomplish guided day trip to Dalat“City of a Thousand Flowers”.

  • Inexpensive excursions from Nha Trang

Things to do

Just the fact that you wanted and were able to come to Nha Trang in such a (usually) cold time of year as February, should inspire. Provoke long walks around the city, tasting local cuisine, visiting entertainment venues.

And shopping, of course. Who wouldn’t want bring back tasty and healthy things from your trip (in the case of Vietnam this is: cocoa, coffee, chocolate, nuts, fruits), as well as original souvenirs?!

Yes, we agree, there are not many major attractions in Nha Trang. So what is a “must” for a tourist to personally see the Cham towers of Ponagar and climb to the top of the hill to the White Buddha.

Everyone also wants to take a ride on the cable car connecting the island of Hon Che to the mainland. And the vast majority of even those who have left childhood spend at least a day on visit to Winpearl water park.

If you have money, you can go to the water park every day. Staying at the 5-star hotel of the same name.

Disposable, by the way, own excellent sandy beachnear which there are almost no waves in February.

It’s worth a trip from Nha Trang to see Bajo and Young Bay Falls. Visit the remote but beautiful Zoklet Beach. Take a cruise to Monkey Island, whose inhabitants are always looking forward to tourists.

Well, yes – get to Dalat.

On your own – occupying a place in a crowded old Rydvan (crossed out) on a regular bus. Or together with an excursion: along the way, looking at extremely photogenic mountain landscapes and listening to the guide’s story.
