Hurghada in June 2026 – is it worth going on vacation? Weather and reviews, sea and air temperature, how to dress, what to take with you, prices for tours, air tickets, hotels. What to do and what to see in Hurghada in June, where to go in Egypt – says Eurotraveler.
Egypt in general, like Hurghada in particular, is a very hot place in the summer. And there is absolutely no reason to doubt this, since long-term reports from meteorologists indicate such a fact with complete certainty.
Another thing is interesting – despite such statistics that scare off sharks, tourists go on vacation to the African country even during the most sizzling months. Therefore, in general, today no one will be surprised by the offer to go to Hurghada in June.
Why not, by the way? If you really miss the warm (in reality, almost just hot) sea, and the weather, which is not only replete with sunny days, but doesn’t even seem to know such a word as rain?!
Are you afraid of too hot weather? Well… no, we won’t say that you’re afraid in vain!
Since the air temperatures in Hurghada in June really cause respect and even fear (how can we not withstand +35 degrees or more?). But a detailed acquaintance with meteorological statistics, as well as tourist reviews, alleviates these concerns. Because it turns out that everything is not so scary.
For an obvious and glaring reason – air humidity is very low in Egypt! At almost any time of the year, and especially in the summer.
So should we pack up and go? In general, yes. Just check out our detailed review first. And go to Egypt “fully armed.”
What you need to know
- Is it very hot in Hurghada in June? In fact, yes, the air temperature during the day rarely leaves the range of +32-36 °C; in some years, extremes of +38-42 °C are also recorded. However, such heat is much easier to bear than in Antalya or Sochi, due to much drier air
- When is the best time to go to Hurghada? Experienced tourists claim that in September and October, when the heat subsides and the sea remains warmed up to +27-29 degrees Celsius. For our part, we will add that April and May, as well as November, are good months for a holiday in Hurghada, allowing both swimming and sightseeing
- Is Egypt crowded in June? Not too much, summer in this country is considered low season. So you won’t meet many competitors both on the beach (figuratively speaking, all the sunbeds will be yours) and while visiting interesting places: museums in Cairo and the pyramids in Giza, temples in Luxor and Karnak

Well, now – more details!
Weather in Hurghada in June
It is distinguished by its extremely clear character: the probability of rain is approximately 0%. Also, all reviews, without exception, advise preparing for air temperatures during the day above +35 degrees Celsius.
And don’t rely too much on the fact that you can breathe deeply in the evenings. Because at night the atmosphere in Hurghada in the June format decreases by only a few degrees. Not much, just up to +28-31 °C.
Having read this, it would seem that all that remains is to finish studying the climate of Hurghada in the summer with a sigh and try to concentrate on something else. But we advise you not to be so hasty.
And try to realize that in an Egyptian resort and at +35 degrees you won’t even be able to sweat. Likewise, you will not experience the unpleasant sensations caused by clothes sticking to your body – Hurghada is not Kemer.
Yes, day after day, when you go outside and stay on the beach (under a tent, of course), you will feel like you are in a frying pan. For the air around will be dry and hot, and hot winds will blow over you.
At the same time, consciousness will remain clear, and the thought a la – why did I come here at such a time – will probably not even flicker on the horizon of consciousness. Let’s say more, such thoughts do not even cross the minds of those who come to the Egyptian resort at the peak of summer, in July – irecommend.ru/kakoi-otpusk-bez-otravleniya-eto-khurgada-egipet!
By the way, about the winds. In Hurghada they are quite strong all year round. And for some reason especially in June.
Which is very appropriate on the beach. But it can create serious problems (natural sandstorms) for those who go to conquer the desert on camels or at least ATVs.
Water temperature
obviously will allow you to swim in Hurghada literally from dawn to dusk in June. You shouldn’t do this at night – it’s completely unknown what kind of Red Sea reptile will decide to attack your relaxed body, refreshing itself after sunset.

For some reason, many reviews write that the sea temperature in Hurghada in June “was +25 degrees.” Based on our experience, we can say that even at the beginning of the month the water area off the coast is warmed up to +26-27 °C. And closer to July, there is every reason to expect the water temperature to rise to +28-29 °C.
Not quite Phuket and even smaller than Sharm el-Sheikh? Maybe! But don’t forget that swimming is designed not only for swimming, but also for cooling effectively. And what kind of cooling can there be in water, which is only a degree or two lower in temperature than the atmosphere?
Note that even when swimming at this time you should wear a headdress: a hat with a brim or a cap with a long visor. Well, by tradition, let us remind you that when you go to Egypt, you need to take an impressive supply of your favorite sunscreen with you on vacation. And you need to start using it already on the plane – unless you want your skin to come off like a stocking on the very first day of your arrival.
Naturally – especially take care of children! Because they simply do not associate either the bright sun or, in principle, a beach holiday with overheating and burns.
Prices 2026
They do not cause rejection. Moreover, they themselves can be the main catalyst for the trip.
After all, in order to relax for a week in Hurghada in June (“all inclusive” or even “ultra”), a couple of Muscovites need to pay from 140-150 thousand rubles. Not that much for round-trip flights, transfers to and from the hotel and a pretty decent “meal plan”?!
Tours with accommodation in “fives” like Albatros Makadi Resort, located on the shores of a bay south of Hurghada known for its “windless” character, will cost more. But not so much – from 170 thousand rubles for two – that you can immediately reject pleasant bonuses (own water park, excellent beach, rooms the size of an average 2-room apartment).
How much will solo travelers pay? A lot depends on where you go on your trip to Egypt from. If from Moscow, then in June you will have to pay 48-50 thousand rubles for flights to Hurghada and back.
As for hotels, in Hurghada for about 100 € – by the way, for 3 people: 2 adults and a child – you can rent a room in such a wonderful, albeit only 3-star hotel as Giftun Azur Resort. Where guests are not only transported from the airport for free, but also offered all-inclusive meals.

Activities
You can take part in an ATV ride for a fee of about 15-20 € per person. A yacht cruise to Giftun Island will cost slightly more (25 € on average). Where you can snorkel to your heart’s content in view of the coral reefs in the amazing clear sea, and then treat yourself to lunch – at the expense of the entertainment organizers.
If you decide that you are mentally and physically ready for sightseeing in Egypt in the summer, you can go to Luxor (for example). An organized tour in this direction in June costs about 70-80 €. But for some reason you can go to the pyramids in Giza and Cairo for less money – about 50-60 €.

Things to do
Citizens planning to vacation in Egypt in the summer should consider this issue especially carefully. Because, as practice shows, before leaving you want and consider it quite appropriate to do one thing, but upon arriving on vacation you understand – there’s no time for that!
Because yes, in hot weather you can still find the strength to go somewhere in Hurghada (in the morning or evening). Or go on a cruise to the reefs.
But with long trips at this time, most likely, it will not “grow together.” After all, it’s difficult, you see, to inspect the completely unconditioned space of the Luxor Temple or climb the pyramid when it’s +40 outside and the sun is joyfully baking?!
You can probably make an exception and go see the exhibition of the Great Egyptian Museum in Giza. But literally everything else is probably better left “for later.” Taking my next trip to Hurghada in December. Well, or something like that: an inexpensive, but also completely cool, month!
And here – where else to relax in June in Egypt
