The islands in the Caribbean is a coveted piece of paradise for tourists: white sand, affectionate sun and excellent service. About places such as Puerto Rico, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Bagams and Jamaica heard everything more than once. Therefore, we decided to talk about the less famous, but no less attractive islands of the Caribbean basin.

1. British Virgin Islands

Sixty Islands in the north-eastern part of the Caribbean are considered the overseas territory of Great Britain and maintain a close relationship with the metropolis, so the level of service, language and culture here are English, but American money. There are many of them for a trip here: the standard of living on this archipelago is one of the highest in the region.

Many tourists come to the British Virgin Islands on a ferry from other nearby tiny states for a day or two. What to do here? 2. American Virgin Islands

The smallest island of St. John attracts celebrities and newlyweds, striving to solitude on picturesque shely-cream beaches, as well as nature lovers: there is a large reserve with pedestrian paths. Santa Curus island is of interest to lovers of history: here in colonial time there were plantations of sugarcane and distillery, in which small museums are now open.

3. St. Lucia

A small, in shape, similar to a drop island of St. Lucia-the second largest from the group of wind-to-end islands is becoming more and more popular in recent years. Wildlife here is quite well preserved (unlike many other islands of the Caribbean) and here is relatively inexpensive.

In the spring, an international jazz festival is held on the island, which is visited by famous musicians. The newlyweds, for whom almost half of all numbers are prepared in hotels, love to spend honey “weeks” here. Lovers of outdoor activities can rise to the crater of an extinct volcano or climb the pythonz mountains, protruding directly from the sea in the southwestern part of the island.

4. Kaiman Islands

One of the most picturesque places in the Caribbean, the Kaymanov Islands, were named so because the first Europeans mistook the Kaimans who lived here in a large number of blue iguan. The archipelago of three islands lies south of Cuba.

The largest island is a large kaiman, on it is the capital of Georgetown and Stringe-City-an entertainment naval center, named after the inhabiting coastal waters of the slopes (Stingray),

which can be fed. Here you can visit the former capital of the city of Bodden, next to which there are caves of pirates that they used for centuries for shelter, or a tortoise farm, or walk along the pedestrian trail of the mastic-traile in the middle of the island.

On the island of Maly Kaiman, nature is almost not touched: mangroves in which wild (or feral) animals are found. There is a bird reserve right there. On the island of Kaiman-Brak-many caves and a national park of parrots. It is interesting that on all islands there are beaches with both white and black sand.

5. Terks and Kaikos

A network of 40 small islands with snow -white beaches, clean azure, colorful coral reefs is an ideal place for a quiet secluded rest. There are no permanent inhabitants on most islands, only service personnel of hotels and hotel houses
. The largest island, Proviceles, accepts in a port, more like a pier, huge ocean liners.

On the island of the Grand Tank, two hundred meters from the shore is a very popular reef from divers, which abruptly breaks into a depth of 2.4 kilometers. There is also a National Museum, where among the exhibits there is evidence that Columbus first entered the Western land on this island (although historians dispute this fact).

6. Barbados

Barbados sets the resting standard on the islands: pure sandy beaches, green fields for golf and cricket, similar to the palaces of hotels, the European level of service (with a traditional British tea party) and the Caribbean climate. Here they drink a first -class local rum, participate in jumps and dance Calipso.

The western and southern coast is traditionally used for a beach holiday, and the Atlantic oriental, more restless, loves surfers. Among lovers, the Bathsheba beach is especially popular among lovers. The cultural program also includes a visit to the Botanical Garden of Andromeda and the Gallery of Pirate Caves.

7. St. Chits and Nevis

The little-known twin islands in the south of the Caribbean offer a choice of rest on beaches with black sand and in luxurious hotels, or the opportunity to find adventure and visit places with history. The more lively island of St. Kits is filled with restaurants, bars and nightlife boils here.

On a calm Nevis, you can take a walk and swim on quiet beaches. There are attractions on the islands: the ancient Fort Brimston, which the conquerors of these lands called Gibraltar West India.

8. Saint-Martin or Sint Martin

Saint-Martin or Sint Martin-the smallest of all the inhabited islands controlled by two independent governments at the same time is located in the northern part of the Caribbean. The northern part of the island named Saint-Martin belongs to France and attracts tourists with restaurants with exquisite kitchen and fashionable beach parties.

The southern, Dutch part of Sint Martin is known for its casino and Maho beach. Above the beach, literally intercontinental liners are landing on the heads of vacationers. This attracts spotters here (fans of taking pictures of planes) from around the world and surfers.

9. Bonayre

On the island of Bonair in the southern part of the Caribbean, almost all the main attractions are under water, so if you are not an avid diver, then you may better go to the neighboring islands of Aruba and Curasao, better known and full of tourists. The surrounding island of the Coral Reef has the status of a national natural park, and under protection all living things, living up to 60 meters in depth.

If you want to make a break between dives, you can go on a ground trip: the Washington Slavbai National Park is a charming natural reserve with hills and lakes, parrots, pink Flamingo and Iguans.
