Why the city has become a ghost

What to see in the city
There are many buildings of that time on the mountain.
The most interesting of them:
1. Casino Boror Palace, better known as the Casino of the Devil. The fact is that the casino was built at a cliff, which used to be often jumped by casino guests, who lost everything to the last Santim.
2. The Black Palace is the residence of the former king Norodom Sianuk.
3. Catholic Church.

But besides all old empty houses, there is still something to see:
1. The waterfalls were caught. They are located about 5 kilometers from Borocus Hill. If you rented a car or other vehicle, then you can get to them in 10-15 minutes. It is worth going here in the rainy season – from May to October. Otherwise, find a small stream there.
2. Pagoda watt sampo my swarm. A great point for a selfie – this Buddhist temple stands over a cliff. From here is an unforgettable view of the coast and the Vietnamese island of Fu Kuok.

How to get:
You can climb the mountain yourself without resorting to the services of excursion agencies or guides. There is information on the Internet that there is simply no road to the mountain – this is not so. In 2012, the Chinese company, which built on Mount Casino-Hotel, Thokor Bokor Highland Resort and is now actively engaged in the development of tourism, also built the road to Mount Boror. To rent a car, scooter or moped is easiest in the city of Kampot.
What else you need to know
- The top of the mountain often floods with rains. Take windbreakers and raincoats with you.
- On the way to the mountain of a cafe and there are no gas stations, so take care of the water reserves in advance, take something to eat and season the full fuel tank.
- The best way to get there is on a scooter. The road to the top will take about an hour, but for the sake of such species I agreed to go another five hours.
- Entrance to the territory of the park is paid, you can go round only through the fields in the jeep, but this is not worth it, because the entrance costs that are mere pennies.
- Visiting waterfalls is paid – 1 dollar per person, but the guard can be circumvented here.
