However, the rivers and lakes of this hospitable country are perfect for a full and budget beach holidays. We tell you in which area of Belarus you can swim in crystally clean water and with pleasure to sunbathe on the sandy shore.
How to get:
You can get to Minsk by both ground and air transport. The road from Moscow by train takes about 7 hours, the ticket costs from 2,300 rubles*. The flight will cost at least 3,500 rubles*, but in the sky you will spend a little more than an hour.
Minsk region
In the north of the country, in the dense forests of the Narochansky National Park, the ancient glacier left behind dozens of swamps and lakes. They come across in small groups. One of them, located in the Minsk region, is combined in Natural complex “Blue Lakes”. The water in these reservoirs is so clean that the visibility is 5-7 meters. Between them, a wooden ecotope is laid through the deep ravines and picturesque hills. In some lakes you can swim: on the shores there are convenient gentle entrances and infrastructure for vacationers – boines, bridges, arbors.

A couple of tens of kilometers south, within the boundaries of the National Park is located Lake Narochwhich has a resort status. Tourist life on the shore of this reservoir has been boiling for more than 50 years. Travelers can improve their health in the Yarchanka sanatorium, break the tent in the camping zone, spend the day on the sandy beach or go fishing. And if you want to stop for the whole weekend, in the vicinity you can find pretty guest houses, for example, two nights in the atmospheric Malinovka Homestead will cost 9,000 rubles*.
If suddenly a vacation by the water gets bored, nearby you can see the ancient Catholic temples. For example, in Zasviri, which was half an hour from the people, preserved Trinity Church buildings of the beginning of the 18th century. And in the city of Budslav – a beautiful baroque The Ascension Church of the Virgin Marywhere the original organ of 1771 is still standing. The path from Naroch to Budslav takes about an hour by car.
Brest region
There are also many unusual lakes. For example, Katashi -The former quarry for the extraction of amber, which the locals call the Belarusian Tunisia or the Maldives in Belarusian. All thanks to the white and unusually soft sand uncharacteristic for this strip. Rest here is suitable for those who miss turquoise sea water. And on Lake Papernyathat in the north-east of Brest, you can chat with swans. People have long fed birds on the shore, and now you can even stroke them, of course, provided that you have some kind of treat. The region has another beloved by local lake – Vygonoshchanskoye. It is located within the boundaries of the landscape reserve of the same name – an ideal place to relax from civilization. More than 200 species of birds, 50 species of mammals, as well as several species of reptiles and amphibians live here. And the lake is rich in fish.

Traveling in reservoirs of the Brest region can be combined with the cultural program. And it is not always limited to the famous Brest Fortress and Bialowieza. For example, in the northeast of the region you can visit an unusual The source of the ash. Water here breaks out of the bowels of the earth under pressure, and outwardly it seems as if it was boiling. For this, the source was nicknamed – boiling water. However, the water temperature is only 6–9 degrees, regardless of the season. Thanks to the chemical composition of the breed and an unusual form of exit to the surface, the ash formed an amazing hydrological landscape for these places.
In the town of Lyskovo, in a semi -Russian state, it was preserved The Church of the Holy Trinitybuilt in the middle of the 18th century in the style of late Baroque. And very close to Brest, in Vistychi, you can see a former church, and now the Orthodox Church of the Exaltation of the Cross of the Lord middle of the XVII century. In the village of Skoka there is one of the most tourist places of this area – The estate of the Nemtsevichsa noble family of the Commonwealth and Poland. It was erected in 1777, survived two world wars, many ruins, and now there is the current historical museum.
You can go around lakes, natural and architectural monuments in a few days if you stay in Brest. For example, in Hotel Byg 6 nights for two will roll up at 14,300 rubles*, and in Hermitage Hotel a double room for the same period costs about 55,000 rubles*.
Grodno region
This is a real river edge. The leisurely river of the Neman flows here, absorbing its many tributaries. Locals like to rest on them and their branches. The banks of the Neman are pebble, in places there are large boulders, thanks to which the water is seething and as if boiling. Along the river there are recreation centers, hunting houses, glampings, sanatoriums and private hotels for every taste.

In the city of bridges over the Neman, the longest in Belarus is installed Pedestrian suspension bridge length of more than 190 meters. It connects two parts of the settlement divided by the river. Until recently, it was easy to swing a pair of movements, but after the last restoration it became more stable, but at the same time he remained the hallmark of the city and one of the most romantic locations in the district.
At 100 kilometers from Grodno there is another curious water attraction – Volkovysk chalk careers. Previously, they were mined by breeds for a concrete plant, but now this place is loved by both Belarusians and guests of the region. Photos of white coasts and turquoise, as on the Maldives of the beaches, the waters instantly scattered on the Internet, and the place became popular with tourists. Careers are extended in length and from a certain angle resemble fjords, only painted with warm colors.

You can stay in Grodno for several days at the Grodnoturist hotel, the price of a room for two is about 2,400 rubles* per night, or in the new light boiler room for 5,600 rubles*.
Similar careers, only reminiscent of not hot Maldives, but the Northern Ruskeal, is in the Mogilev region, near the village of Lozovitsa. Swimming in them is unsafe due to the softness and fragility of the breed of the coast, but as a background for a summer vacation, they fit perfectly.
Vitebsk region
About 120 kilometers from Minsk in the direction of St. Petersburg is located Berezinsky biosphere reserve. A huge territory of 85,000 hectares occupies part of the Minsk and Vitebsk regions. There is a Berezinsky water system – recreated in 1797-1805 the ancient trade path from the Varangians to Greeks, connecting the basins of the Baltic and Black Seas. Bathing here is unlikely to give great pleasure – too many fish, snakes and frogs live in water, but rafting on kayaks is easy!

And if you go to the Vitebsk region, do not forget to look at the local Mercury on the border of the Shumilinsky and Polotsk regions. Space view Obolsky swamps can be evaluated from the satellite. In a relatively small area, there are more than 400 “eyes” – small lakes. Several foot tourist routes run through the tops. It is better to pass them in the company, because in the Kozyansk reserve there are brown bears and lynxes. And if you meet a motley on a lone pine tree, be sure to ask her a letter from some school of wizards, because even the swamps in Belarus look fantastic!
