Ah, Portugal! A country that beckons many travelers. True, they are mainly limited to Lisbon and Porto. Want to see more? Then save this article with a route from our traveler expert. But we warn, the trip will turn out to be very saturated.

Days 1-3. Lisbon

The first two days of travel you have to spend in Lisbon. Be sure to include one of the following attractions in your list.

Prasa-Do-Komersiu Square and Augushta Street

The main square of the city, on the one hand, reaching the Tesu River, and on the three others surrounded by majestic buildings. Here is the triumphal arch, from which the main pedestrian street of the city – Augushta originates. Also from the square begins the embankment of the Tesu River – Ribeira das Naus.

Lisbon is the city of trams and funicular. There are three funicular in the city: Bika, Gloria and the less famous laurel.

  • Gloria funicular: Praça Dos Restauradores (Baixa) – Sance Pedro de Alcântara (Bairro Alto)

Museum of Modern Art Berardo

The art museum itself presents a collection of classical art. However, at the museum there is also the Center for Contemporary Art (Centro de Arte Moderna).

Opening hours: from 10:00 to 18:00. Tuesday is a day off.

Days 3-4. Cape Rock and Sintra

On the third day, go to Cape Rock, and then to the night in a small but very picturesque town of Sintra. The road to Cape Rock will take about an hour, and from there to Sintra you will get in half an hour.

Cape Rock is the western point of continental Europe. From here opens an incredible panoramic view of the coast and a natural park surrounding Sintra.

Sintra is famous for its beautiful palaces, included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Among them is the medieval national palace, as well as the colorful palace of the Pen and the medieval castle of the Moors spread out on green hills. Typically, tourists come to Lisbon Symbon for one day. In the evenings, when they move out, the syntra turns from a noisy tourist space into an almost empty and charming town, so we advise you to stay here for the night.

Day 4. Transfer. The natural park of Arrabid. Sinish

On the fourth day, go south – through the natural park of Arrabid to the city of Sinish. The road without stopping will take about 2.5 hours.

The natural park of Arrabid (Parque Natural da Arrábida) is the unity of green mountains and white cliffs that rise above the beaches. From the hills of the park, a wonderful view of the coast opens.

Sinish (Sines) is a seaside town with a pleasant historical center and embankments along the port. He is known as the birthplace of the famous Portuguese navigator Vasco da Gama.

Day 5. Transfer. Lagush. Silwish. Faro

On the fifth day, continue your journey to the south – to the city of Lagush. Then we offer to call in the city of Silwish and go closer to the night to Faro. The whole road without stops on this day will take 3 hours.

Lagush (Lagos) – a town on the southern coast of Portugal. Here you are waiting for beaches surrounded by magnificent cliffs. We advise you to visit these: Praia da Balança, Praia Dos Pinheiros and Praia Do Camilo. A beautiful staircase leads to the last beach.

Silves – a cozy town spread on a hill, with a castle and a beautiful old architecture.

Days 5–8. Faro

Faro is a port city in the south of Portugal. It is better to explore Faro with the old city with its prayer streets, spacious squares, a fortress wall, old buildings and churches.

It is also worth a look at one of the most famous and gloomy attractions of the city-the chapel of bones, the walls of which are decorated with human skulls and bones, and be sure to visit the long sandy beach of Priya de Far.

The natural park of the RIA-Formose

This park, formed by lagons, islands and braids, stretched for kilometers along the southern coast of Portugal. Flamingo live in the park.

Day 8. Transfer. Lake Alkeva

On the eighth day, we begin to move to the north. We suggest calling to see two cities: Tavira and run, and then go to the Lake of Alkev. The road on this day will take 3 hours.

Tavira (Tavira) is a small seaside town with beautiful architecture and beaches.

To the next city, we offer to go through the natural park of the Guadiana Valley Natural Park).

Beja (Beja) is another cozy small town with narrow streets, a castle and beautiful houses.

Days 9-10. Moving. Vineyards to the alentezh. Evra. Marvan

On this day you are waiting for vineyards and two more interesting cities – Evra and Marvan. The road without stopping on this day will take 2.5 hours.

The region of the Alentezh is one of the places in Portugal, which is famous for its wines. We offer you to call on the Herdade Do Esporao winery – it is located just between the lake and the city of Evra. You can book a tour and find out detailed information on the Esporao website.

The historical center of the city of Evora (évora) is included in the UNESCO World Heritage List. Here you will find objects of the ancient Roman period: the ruins of the Temple of Diana and Aqueduct, as well as the magnificent Gothic cathedral, many churches, palaces and picturesque streets.

Marvan (Marvroom) – a town, picturesquely spread on the top of the hill. You will get to him by evening and stop at night. Choose where exactly:

Days 10-11. Moving. Kashtelu-di-visa. Leyry

On the tenth day of the trip, we offer to visit the town of Kashtelou-Di-Vidi, and then go towards the western coast of Portugal to Leyria. The whole road will take a little more than 2 hours.

Kashtelu-Di-Did (Castelo de Vide) is a charming town with a beautiful historical center, located surrounded by hills.

In Leyria (Leiria) you are waiting for beautiful squares and churches, narrow streets and a castle rising on a hill.

Day 11. Transfer. Office. Return home

On this day, you will find a reverse move to Lisbon. In the end, we offer to visit another city – offender. The whole road will take about 2 hours.

Office (óBIDOS) – a small town on the coast. His white houses with red tiles are surrounded by defensive walls. The main attraction of offender is the medieval castle of the same name towering above the city. Office is called the chocolate capital of Portugal – every year the chocolate festival is held here.
