In the Kudablin project, we send completely different people on traveling at our expense! Diana forester visited Verona: she recognized the story of the Italians love, saw Lake Garda and felt like Juliet. Read more – in her report!

Alora! I could not fully understand what this means truly universal word in Italian. My journey was so swift that it seems that I just dreamed of it. And yet, in 2 days of my trip with OneTwotrip, I managed to see not only Verona, but also several towns around Lake Garda. The dream came true in the square! But about everything in order. If life or onetwotrip is thrown to you Verona – agree! The task for the trip I got a romantic, just by February 14. I had to find three pairs of elderly Vorons and find out the stories of their acquaintance. I was preparing to travel with 150 euros in my pocket and a great desire to embrace the immense.

Excellent flight with S7, 6 euros and 15 minutes by bus from the airport to the Porto Nuovo railway station, another 10 minutes on foot, and now I’m already in the historical center of the city near my temporary house. I am a picky person: I always choose hotels for a long time and painfully. And I was almost broken from doubt while I was determined with the hotel. But in the end, I was satisfied with my Hotel San Luca. This is a full -fledged hotel, not B&B (Bad and Breakfast, a small hotel for an overnight and breakfast – approx. Ed.) With one toilet for three rooms for the same price. I had a modest breakfast in the price of living, from which I took with me a couple of divine croissants, a bun and fruit. I was sorry to waste time on a full dinner instead of examining the attractions, so such a light snack was very helpful.

I flew in the afternoon, quickly reached the hotel and immediately rushed to study the surroundings on the tourist map taken at the airport. If you plan to not only walk, but also inspect everything from the inside, a special pass for Verona guests will definitely come in handy. For 18 euros per day you can enter almost any city museum for free. The hotel will always tell you where to buy it. I had only half a day and I decided not to buy a card. Italians are wonderful and hospitable people. Any local resident was ready to explain on his fingers how to get, and even spend. Remembering my responsible mission from Onetwotrip, I decided to combine the pleasant with useful and asked the road only from the elderly couples in order to at the same time to discover the stories of their acquaintance from them. So I met Bianca Maria. Bianca explained the road easily to me, but it turned out to be more complicated with the love story: in English, elderly local residents almost did not speak. But we understood each other. The first love story Done!

I decided to leave the Arena di Verona on the last day, the antique amphitheater on the main square of the city, now the concert venue – approx. Ed.) And went along the main trading street to the house of Juliet. The hotel was told to me that there was nothing to do on the balcony itself. I twisted below and ran on. Verona is incredibly compact, so I managed to visit the Square of herbs next door (where in the evening I had dinner),

I went to the stunning beauty of Ponte Pietro, or Peter’s bridge, and even saw Verona from above. Out of curiosity, I decided to climb the ladder in a narrow lane across the road from Ponte Pietro. The ladder turned out to be endless and suddenly brought me to the observation deck. Such beauty that breathtaking!

I chose a place for dinner on the principle of “where the more people”: it turned out not very tasty, but very fun. I went to sleep early, because at 6 in the morning I was going to get on the bus to Garda. As a result, I left at 8, and not in vain: along the way I met with the amazing laughter of Edda from Verona. The guy from Sri Lanka helped us to explain to us: he spoke a little English and a little Italian. The second love story Done!

I so wanted to visit the mountains that a three -hour shaking on the bus did not scare me. The travel card for the whole day cost 10 euros – ideal for lovers of long stops. You can land and go further again as many times as you like. The first stop at which I went out was a boyzin.

From the bus I went to look for a funicular to Mount Monte Baldo. There was not a soul at the lower cable car station, although the cash desks worked. I was afraid that I was freezing, that the funicular would break and a lot of terrible things, but still went upstairs. Instead of a steep species from the mountain, I received a blizzard, -5 degrees and a glass of Zyokko as a gift from the local carabinier. He became my third storyteller!

Going down to the city, it seemed again that everyone around was extinct. It became even a little uncomfortable, but local beauty quickly distracted attention to themselves. Narrow streets, neat houses against the background of Garda – incredible beauty! The wind was so strong that I managed to feel like Merri Poppins and Ellie and the Totoshka at the same time. The next bus took me to Riva del Garda. My final point, which I give the prize for the most beautiful view. I walked, took a picture and moved back. It is a pity the shipping is closed in winter, although then I would definitely not return home by night.

Verona met me with rain, a delicious dinner and a cold bed. They drown there very badly (as in all of Europe),

And the warm pajamas turned out to be very welcome. It rained in the morning. I ran away again to Juliet, walked along Castelveko (city museum of medieval painting and sculpture – approx. Ed.) And I remembered that I did not go to the arena. But it was too late – a suitcase and an airplane awaited me. I will return to Verona, not in vain, I forgot the hat on the bus!

Who just did not hold my camera for these days: fishermen, sellers, postmen on mopeds, waiters and, of course, responsive tourists. I do not really like to travel alone, but during these two days of time there was simply no bored. And it is generally difficult to get bored with sociable Italians. As a photographer I can say that an early and sometimes very early visit to attractions guarantees you a beautiful view and lack of a crowd of tourists in the frame. So do not be lazy to get up early if you want to get really good shots.

If you have more than 1000 subscribers in one of the social networks, participate in the Kudablin project, and we will send you to anywhere in the planet at our expense. Where you go and what will you do, your subscribers will decide.
