Thanks to the Kudablin project, Daria Borisova (@Travel2you.ru) – managed to visit the western city of the country. I share my impressions of a trip to Kaliningrad. This is a place with an amazing story where human fates are hidden behind ancient German buildings. If you were in Germany, you will like Kaliningrad 100%. There are streets paved with paving stones, and German sewer hatches are still preserved. To feel the city and the surroundings, I recommend that you come for at least a week: live in Kaliningrad for several days, and then make a trip along the coast. Stop in the center – so many locations will be in walking distance.
Inspect the top locations where the chimlins settled – small gnomes and symbols of Kaliningrad. Those who find all five will be accompanied by luck and success. Therefore, my subscribers came up with a task for me to participate in the Kudablin project – to find all the chimlins!

1. Start your inspection with Victory Squarepass by the FSB building, look at the Kaliningrad Drama Theater, get to the zoo – here you will find your first chimlin – the granddaughter of Ulya is sitting near the box office.
2. Take a taxi and go to House of Soviets – The long -standing, which was started to be erected 40 years ago, but never put into operation. The only thing that remains of the castle that was once in its place is the basements and part of the wall. You have a chance to see and photograph this symbol of the city.

3. Next – to Brandenburg gatehere is the Marcipan Museum. Here you can listen to an interesting lecture about the history of creating goodies and buy a delicacy made according to local and German recipes.

4. Fish village – This is a new year of 2005, a cute analogue of a German town, mandatory to visit. Gingerbread houses and a magnificent view of the Cathedral. It’s good to take a walk along the embankment, drink coffee and, of course, ride a boat. After that, go along the honey bridge – to the island of Kant. There you will find the second Khomlin – grandfather of Karl. You definitely will not miss him! A full house is always nearby.

5. Walk around the island, look at the grave of the philosopher, go to the museum, and, as a cherry on the cake, visit an organ music concert in the cathedral. Tickets to the museum and a concert can be bought on the site. Believe me, it’s worth it: the main organ is decorated with angels who move to the music. Children and even adults are delighted.

6. On the other side of the park – Museum of the World Ocean. I highly recommend visiting with children. Warships, equipment, a bunch of sites. The prices for each object are different, it is better to look at the site. And here you will meet the third chomlin – a sailor Vitka. He sits on the embankment opposite the box office.

7. On the other side of the Pregol River is Regional Museum of Fine Arts – The former building of the German exchange. Here lives the fifth chomlin – dad Leo. He sits opposite the museum on the parapet of the renal bridge. And y Museum of amber Find Grandmother Marta.

I spent the whole day in search of the chimlins, examining the beauty of Kaliningrad, and the next day I leased a car and went to the coast. The first city where I went – Baltiyskthe western point of Russia.

More recently, it was closed for tourists, as there are military bases. Look at the ships, feed the swans, put on a wild beach, eat delicious panins, find amber on the beach, go on a ferry on Baltic braid.
I also managed to visit Amber. In the area of the village, about 95% of the world stocks of amber are concentrated.

The quarry was previously closed to visiting, but now it can be visited, you can make a desire in the amber pyramid and find stones yourself. There is also a beach, which is also called the “Baltic Maldives.”
My favorite is beautiful and green Svetlogorsk. Here KVN, festivals and concerts are held. Absolutely magical city. You can get here on a “swallow” from Kaliningrad in 30 minutes.

Zelenogradsk – City of cats. They are here everywhere, there is even a traffic light depicting these pets. In addition, Zelenogradsk is actively being built up and is very popular due to the fact that there is a Kursh braid and excellent beaches nearby.

On Curonian braid Buy tickets on the site in advance. Get ready to stand in a traffic jam! If you take a group tour, there is a chance to skip automobile congestion. In the season, the cork can drag on for several hours, so I recommend coming in advance. The best hotel is Mayakovsky (from 7500 rubles* per night per person).

Be sure to visit an ornithological park, a dancing forest and dunes. Get lunch in the cafe “on the hook”.
In a few days in Kaliningrad, it is impossible to inspect everything. I would also like to discover its beauty for myself. Autumn is a great time for a trip: you can drink mulled wine during leisurely walks around the island of Kant. And for the New Year, I am sure, Christmas fairs will be pleased.
Definitely, Kaliningrad is beautiful at any time of the year! And the proximity of the sea is an additional bonus.
