For Russians, Georgia, of course, is not a mystery country. Thanks to the virtually visa-free regime, Russian travelers often visit the Transcaucasian state and over the years have managed to form a completely objective opinion about what time of year is best to visit Tbilisi, go to ski resorts or relax on the Black Sea.

As for the first, however, there is still no complete clarity – the Georgian capital is good even out of season. As for skiing, even a child can give the correct answer.

But with the Black Sea, not everything is so obvious – it turns out that you need to aim there not in the summer. Because for the purpose of a beach holiday, it is best to go to Batumi in September.

Why – you ask? For several reasons! The main one, of course, is the climate – it is at the beginning of autumn that the not hot, but warm weather.

Compared to summer, prices also drop slightly. And the number of fruits and vegetables on the shelves, their diversity, on the contrary, is growing – the harvest is in full swing!

Is it any wonder that the main Georgian seaside resort, Batumi, does not think of being empty in September?! However, it is far from crowded – as if it invites you, the doubter and the chooser, to make the right decision and fill the empty space on its beaches.

What to take with you

Based on personal experience, as well as reviews, we recommend do not overload your suitcase with warm clothes — you definitely won’t encounter frosts at this time. A windbreaker with a hood, a sweatshirt, a jacket are not unnecessary things, but there is no reason to over-insulate.

Be sure to bring full-length thick trousers, not just shorts – during any activity in mountainous areas it is better to keep your legs completely covered. Equally, if you are planning to go trekking in Adjara, the appropriate boots will not hurt.

Obviously, raincoats and umbrellas will come in handy – in case you don’t want to interrupt your excursions due to some rain. The reviews rightfully write – we completely agree with this – that sunscreen or lotion would also be useful. Because otherwise you risk a day or two spend lying on the bed spend on recovery from sunburn.
