June is an ambiguous month. It seems to be the prompting to go to the sea – how, a calendar summer – but at the same time leaving the scope for maneuver.

Therefore, even in Budapest, which, in comparison with Paris, Barcelona, is still considered an inexpensive city for a tourist, get ready to pay about 80-100 € for two per day in June.
If you decide to stop not too far from the old city in Buda, of course, the plain Pesht is usually somewhat more expensive.
Perhaps the ideal stoppage for a family or company (less than 100 € per day for four – city taxes are included) look Elegant Apartment with Buda Castle View. A spacious apartment with a beautiful view of the windows and nearby that from the Budai fortress, from the chain bridge.

Prices for excursions in Budapest are also not yet not available to the Paris or Roman level. As a result, for the amount of about 25-30 € for you will be a sightseeing tour of the city center. And having paid from 100-115 € you can make a one-day trip (Sadendre-Vischegrad-Esterg) on the bend of the Danube.
What to do
3-4 days in June is enough to make and see everything “mandatory” in Budapest. Most likely there will be no time for campaigns in museums, but the rest you – if you want – visit.
Including: the parliament, the Church of St. Martin and the Basilica of St. Istwan, the fishing bastion and some of the thermal baths.
Also in the entertainment program there is often a tour of the boat on the Danube, especially in the evening. That no one will surprise anyone – the magically illuminated city looks especially good in the dark.
Not too expensive, but informative and therefore popular trips in the sightseeing buses of the HOP-ON HOP -OFF format. You can ride them all day, audio guides are available in the main world languages.
It is natural that you will want to try dishes of traditional Hungarian cuisine. Yes, probably, not once – despite the fact that you want to eat in the heat.
But on profitable shopping in Budapest stores, it is especially worthwhile. But you will undoubtedly acquire some interesting souvenirs and hungarikums.
Perhaps you will even have time to visit the largest flea market in the Hungarian capital – Echery – there are very original things there.
Where to go nearby
The “minimum” program of suburban trips from Budapest usually includes a visit to Sadendre. What, in June, alas, it can be totally overwhelmed by celebrating citizens and therefore loses a significant part of its charm.
Also on a trip to Vishegrad – look at the fortress where they kept the legendary Dracula for a long time, every first tourist usually wants. Again, who does not want to make a cruise on the Danube in Esterg. As for the purpose of refreshing, and in order to see the largest church in Hungary?
By the way, Sendendra, Vishegrad and Estherg can be visited in just one day. If you do not regret a certain amount of money and take part in an organized tour.
Is it worth swimming in June in Lake Balaton? Only if you love this lesson to unconsciousness – the water in this reservoir is not too transparent.
Therefore, it is better to plan a separate trip to the sea. After all, the same Montenegro in June is perfect for a beach holiday. And you can get to Budwa from Budapest by car in just 1 daylight day!
What to see in the vicinity of Balaton? At least – the Palace of the Franciscan Abbey in Kesthade. But it would be more correct to include in the program of spa treatments in Heviz. As well as the night or two (only booked the hotel in advance). Then the effect of several sessions of balneotherapy will be more noticeable …
A visit to the SHUMEG fortress, a perfectly preserved medieval citadel, will surely become an adornment of a trip to summer Hungary. Although it will clearly be overwhelmed with vivid impressions.
