Cyprus in July 2025 – is it worth going to rest? Weather and reviews, air and water temperature, hotels prices. What can be done in Cyprus in the middle of summer, what to see and where to go – in the material of Eurotraveler.

The island of Cyprus is one of the Primorsky’s places beloved by Europeans – first of all, beach – rest. Basically, the citizens of the United Kingdom, but also the Germans, the French, Russian British go to this small Asian country with a warm climate and such a pleasantly long bathing season.

The sun, sea, fruits, carefree, which is in the air … The island of Aphrodite does not have to strain much in order to attract the attention of a potential resort.

The fact that July in Cyprus is sultry and mainly cloudless time is sometimes even too sultry – most potential vacationers are completely ignored. And they can be understood-if in your native region the only appearance of the Sun due to clouds is an extremely positive event, then its unchanging presence in the sky is a real holiday. If not a miracle at all!

In general, if you know exactly that it is easy to endure really hot weather with frequent air temperatures at +35 ° C, then there is nothing to worry. Those who have reason to fear the reaction of the body to the scorching sun should think about transferring a trip to other months.

Indeed, in Cyprus you can swim in September, as well as October. Yes, and May (partially), as well as June-a very good time for a beach vacation that in Aya-Nap and Protaras, which is in Larnaca and Paphos!

Weather in Cyprus in July

Usually pleases with stability. At the same time, without leaving vacationers a special choice. For it is possible to be in an open place or beach in the middle of summer in Cyprus only in the morning or evening hours – the rest of the time the sun makes significant efforts to incinerate you in place.

Naturally, we are primarily talking about resorts – in mountainous areas the heat is easier. Yes, and greenery, as well as the natural shadow there is more!

The air temperature in Cyprus already in early July habitually “lives” in the range of +30-35 degrees Celsius. Over the past years, if you have made attempts to leave it, then only by crawling to +40 and above.

Hard? Definitely! Moreover, there is no need to wait for coolness after sunset. In the best case- +25-27 ° C, in the worst-also about +29-30 ° C.

In Cyprus in July, the sea warms up to +28 degrees

Do you think that such heat in cloudless Cyprus does not press that way? In vain – in many reviews, vacationers complain of stuffiness and high humidity. It is only worth a little to move away from the coast, which nevertheless blowing fresh sea winds, as you will immediately feel the whole incinerating power of the island climate.

Rains? In this sense, Cyprus in July is no different from the same Egypt, the probability of precipitation is 0%. Well, or so – it is clearly not worth counting on refreshing rain.

It is equally in the middle of summer there is a natural trouble with a cloudy sky – it simply does not happen. Only a blue -bearing blue – nothing more, raising your head, you will not see.

Well, good, – you say – just glorious?! Not for everyone! Most even completely healthy people are exhausted by non -firmly sultry weather. A week of “African land”, and I already want rain, coolness, in a word – change.

Water temperature

Usually, by the beginning of July, the sea in Cyprus warms up to +26-27 degrees. On this, nature, however, does not stop, gradually telling the water area almost fantastic condition-by the middle of the month the thermometers will show +28-29 and even above degrees.

Gorgeous? Not really! The fact is that the water heated to such temperatures loses one of the main properties in conditions of the scorching heat – it does not refresh. In the reviews, you can read as much as you like about “fresh milk” – in fact it is rather bad than good.

The regulars of the tropical seas, lovers of rest in Thailand or in Cuba, will probably not agree. But from our point of view, bathing in the summer is not only entertainment. It is also a complete sense, even a healing procedure! Allowing to maintain the temperature balance of the body, preventing it from overheating.

Prices 2025

To stop in July in good apartments, for example, in Ayia Nap, it will turn out if you have an amount of 80-90 € per day. And then only if these same apartments guessed to book no later than March.

First of all, we recommend that Millie’s Apartments be awarded your supportive attention, which are about half a kilometer from the coastal line. In terms of qualities, one of the best options in a popular beach resort, and only a completely lazy guest did not praise in the numbers in the rooms. The interiors are simple, but everything you need for brief residence is in their places

If, for any reason, to choose the West of the island for stopping in July, namely, pathos and its surroundings, then it will be possible to find comfortable housing even for less money. In particular, a couple of tourists will pay about 70-80 € in the Pagona Holyidy Apartments complex in the Pagona Holyi Apartment complex. The place is very quiet, inside the residential complex there is your own pool, you can reach the beach in 15 minutes.

The weather in Cyprus in July is distinguished by an abundance of sunny days

From our point of view, living in pathos is more suitable for active tourists. Since it is equally convenient to go from this resort:

  • to the Akamas National Park
  • on the beach of Lara or even in a blue lagoon
  • In the Avacacon Gorge
  • to the monastery of Kikkos and the villages of Trodos
  • To the rock of Aphrodite

As for organized excursions on Cyprus, they cannot be called expensive. For participation in a one -day round in monasteries and villages of Troodos (from Paphos, by the way) you need to pay about 50 €. A cruise on a boat or a yacht from pathos to a blue lagoon will be made for a fee of 25-30 €.

Renting a car in Cyprus in the summer season will cost 30-40 € per day. And the least you will pay if you decide to pick up and hand over the car directly at the airport-for delivery to the selected resort, the rental company will take 50-60 € more.

What to do

Obviously, your mobility will seriously depend on whether you will have your own vehicle or not. Since, although public transport in Cyprus exists and even adheres to schedules, buses do not go every 5 minutes. And to expect another of them under the scorching sun is still a pleasure.

Start – in our opinion – we need to from pathos. Since almost the best artifacts of the ancient era are exhibited in the local archaeological park, which are generally available on the island. The main attention is on the amphitheater and the ancient Roman mosaics, which once decorated the halls of the villas of the noble gentlemen.

We advise you to find the miraculous source of Holy Solomonia and the ancient church of Ayia-Kiriyaki. And be sure to climb the old part of the city, Ktima. Whose streets seemed to envelop a thick and obviously felt flaper of ancient times.

If you somehow manage to overcome the apathy caused by the July heat and get out of pathos, move towards the rock of Aphrodite. The recognizable emblem of Cyprus, a place where, according to legend, the Greek goddess of love came ashore.

Believers Christians or simply interested in history people can go to the Troodos mountains. In order to visit the famous Monastery of Kikkos, which was a significant institution in the days of the Byzantine Empire. What is there – it was founded – in the XI century – at the command of the emperor!

There are also remarkably authentic Cyprus villages in the mountains …

The intention to swim in a blue lagoon near the Akamas peninsula looks quite natural. This place is beautifully stage beauty, and what cleanliness is the sea here …

Limassol and Larnaca

In Limassol, a medieval castle has been well preserved, in the chapel of which the restless crusader Richard Lion’s heart and his chosen one Berengaria Navarra were married. And next to the city there are two archaeological excavations on the site of ancient policies: Kurion from the East and Amatus – from the west.

The castle of the Kolossi knights is worthy of attention. And the old mountain village of Lefkara, where incomparable lace has been weaving for centuries. Such that in the Venetian Burano are called!

In Larnac, there is where to walk around – only the embankment of the Phenicades of what is worth it. But there are not too many attractions, alas. I recall only the Church of St. Lazarus with a special, very mental atmosphere inside.

Add to the list the ancient and now abandoned city of Salamin. As well as his healthy and today, also a very remarkable neighbor Famagusta. A true pearl of the northern Cyprus is considered an ancient couch, today bearing the name of the garrne.
