Thousands of Russians cannot get to the Black Sea coast on an airplane at the very height of the season, since airports in the south of Russia are still closed. This affected flights to Anapa, Gelendzhik, Krasnodar, Adler and other cities of the southern regions.

The press service of the Federal Air Transport Agency reports that the restriction of flights at 11 airports in the south of Russia will be valid until August 17, 2022.

How to get to the southern regions if flights are suspended? Let’s look at a few available options.

How to get to the cities of the south of Russia?

By train

In all cities where flights are temporarily canceled, you can get by train.

In winter, Russian Railways organized more than 100 additional trains in the south. And to trains that go according to the usual schedule added additional wagons. On average, the number of places for passengers who are sent to or from cities of the southern regions increased by more than 63 thousand.

For example, 6 trains from Moscow go to Crimea – to Simferopol, Feodosia, Sevastopol and Yevpatoria. From St. Petersburg-three-to Simferopol, Feodosia and Yevpatoria. You can also get to the Crimea by train from Adler, Murmansk, Perm, Belgorod, Smolensk and other cities.

The difficulty is that tickets are sold out very quickly – you need to check in advance. Often tickets were purchased a couple of months in advance.

By bus

Of many cities, the resorts of the Krasnodar Territory and Crimea can also be reached by long -distance buses. True, the road will take about a day. For example, travel time from Moscow to Anapa will be 20–25 hours, and in Crimea – 27–32 hours.

However, many regular buses can be reached with comfort. They have air conditioners, a dry closet, coolers, Wi-Fi and so on. But this point is important to clarify before the purchase of tickets, since not all transport companies provide such conditions.

As with trains, the availability of tickets for such buses must be monitored – they are quickly sold out.

On the plane

The good news is the only one of the Black Sea airports, Sochi Airport is open. There are many flights, both from Moscow and St. Petersburg, and from other cities of Russia. Flights to Sochi and from Sochi are available.

Aeroflot and other airlines even organize additional flights in Sochi on large aircraft. There are charter flights by the order of tour operators in Sochi.

It is worth considering that the flight from Moscow is now occupying not 2, but 4 hours, since the pilots have to fly in a closed airspace.

Already in Sochi you can transfer to local buses and trains to the final destination.

On the Onetwotrip website, you can find out about the availability and purchase air and railway tickets at the lowest prices.
