We continue to share delightful routes created specifically for you along with the Russian Explorers photographers. Dmitry Kulikov (@oktagon) was prepared by the guide to the Khabarovsk Territory! And for you to use it as soon as possible, in our telegram channel we play a discount on tickets to the Khabarovsk Territory, as well as to accommodate there.

Khabarovsk is not the first place that could come to mind with the thought of rest. But this Far Eastern city, located on the Amur River near the Chinese border, is able to surprise with its oriental flavor, natural and cultural attractions. Today I want to share with you places whose visit will help to better get acquainted with the city and its history.

View of 5000

Upon arrival in Khabarovsk, most tourists are first interested in where you can see the places depicted on the five thousandth bill.

The Amur cliff with a turret on the embankment and a monument to the first governor Muravyov-Amursky-business cards of the city. These are objects on the front side of the bill, which are located in the historical center of Khabarovsk.

To photograph the Amur bridge – a landmark from the back of the bill, you need to go by car from the center to the north about half an hour. Or buy a ticket for one of the walking boards that leave daily from the central embankment with a frequency of an hour. On the ship, you can get to the bridge right on the water and see it with your own eyes.

Amur Petroglyphs

In the village of Sikachi-Alyan, which is 60 km north of Khabarovsk, there is a unique monument of history-Petroglyphs of the Amur peoples, the ancestors of modern Nanais. Just think about it: 15,000 years ago, the inhabitants of the Amur region began to send stone emoji to their descendants to the future and dozens of generations receive them to this day. Today, more than 350 such graphic messages immortalized in Basalt on the banks of the Amur are known. Considering them, you can find out that mammoths lived in these places, they were hunted, and people moved along the Amur in large long multi -seat boats.

In the same village I recommend visiting the local history museum, as well as see the reconstruction of the houses of local residents of different eras and get acquainted with their live culture.

Amur ducts

Fleaning Khabarovsk in the warm season, you will see an incredible sight – the Amur River spills tens of square kilometers with impressive ducts through green bay meadows. If you want to be among these patterns and ride through the ducts, use the services of the excursion bureau River Sport, which conduct water walks on sales and kayaki. Some routes start from the suburban complex “Riviera Khabarovsk” – a popular vacation spot among the Khabarovsk residents. Here you can spend several hours, dinner, enjoy the sunset over the river Ussuri, and then return to the city or stay overnight.

Above the Amur clouds

For those who want to consider the landscapes surrounding Khabarovsk better and comfortably, I recommend going into a balloon flight in the morning or evening. Khabarovsk is the center of aeronautics in the Far East, and you can choose any type of ball for flight: from a huge 12-local one for a fun company to a cozy gondola with a red heart form, ideal for a romantic evening.

Unusual excursions

The creative group “Limonart” in love with his city organizes incredibly interesting excursions in Khabarovsk. Most of the participants are local residents who discover familiar places from completely amazing sides, and then share new ones with the guests. Want to be alone with the city and hear its fascinating story, go with the guys at 7 in the morning on the excursion “Sleeping Muravyov-Amursky.”

Amur manga

From Japan to Khabarovsk only two hours in the sky. Therefore, the cultural influence of the country of the rising sun here can be found in all manifestations, even the most unusual. One of these is the Nevelskaya: Fruits of imagination from the Creative Group H4H. This is a retelling of heroic events associated with the development of the Far East Russia, the language of contemporary art. On June 29, 1850, the researcher Gennady Nevelskaya raised the Russian flag in the lower Amur and founded the city of Nikolaevsk-on-Amur, without a single shot, adding 36% of its current territory to Russia.

The expositions dedicated to this manga are located on the third floor of the Khabarovsk airport, as well as in the Center for Modern Art of Artservatoria.

Greenland whales

In addition to the cultural influence of the Land of the Rising Sun, Khabarovsk in recent years has become very popular among tourists fan of marine mammals.

It is from here that tours to the Santarsky Islands begin-a place that, according to marine biologists and specialists from the marine tourism sphere, are included in the top 5 world spots on observation of whales. It is there that you can see the killer whale and swim on a sappingboard next to the polar whales.

Chinese cuisine

Before Pandemia in Khabarovsk, there were more than 30 restaurants of Chinese cuisine. The situation obliges – even from the observation deck on Komsomolskaya Square on clear days, neighboring China is clearly visible, and the path along the Amur to the border city of Fuyan takes only about two hours.

Chinese cuisine in Khabarovsk has always been loved and knew in it. Now there are not so many restaurants left, but one of the oldest nets of the “plug-stick” is well held and pleases the taste receptors of the guests.

Central market

Previously, in the central market, one could often notice Korean tourists who walked around the grocery rows and froze in surprise in front of the huge trading zone of Korean food. They were amazed not only by the abundance of national salads, but also dozens of sellers of their own nationality in the very center of the Russian city. This is simply explained – in Khabarovsk a very large Korean diaspora lives, thanks to which their acute cuisine has become very popular among Russians.

Going home, tourists acquire not only Korean salads, but also gifts from all over the Far East: local caviar pink salmon, smoked fish and royal crab from Kamchatka, Sakhalin scallops and coastal shrimp.

To realize my route, you will not need a guide, and if you wish, you can do without renting a car. There will be enough weekends to visit all places: they will turn out very saturated. I am sure that this route in Khabarovsk will give you pleasant impressions, and the cordiality of the inhabitants will remember for a long time. Thank you for your attention!

The joint summer season Onetwotrip and Russian Explorers is completed, but we will continue to share with you the ideas for traveling for the weekend. After all, the weekend in a new place is beautiful at any time of the year.
