The Lycian path is a picturesque trekking route 540 kilometers long, stretched along the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. The path runs along bays, bays and mountain rivers. On the way, you can tear oranges from trees, tasting fragrant hezlem cakes in grandmothers in villages and take unforgettable pictures against the background of the ruins of Lycia. And November is considered the best time for going on the path: the exhausting heat comes to naught, and the peak of the tourist season has already been passed.
We talked about what to take with us on a hike here, and in this article we will give a detailed route for a ten -day campaign. The whole path is well marked, but do not forget to download offline cards so as not to get lost.

How to get
Of the large cities, the Airport of Dalaman is closest to the beginning of the path. From Moscow you can with a transplant in Istanbul. For entry, Russians will need only a passport, without a visa in the country you can be up to 90 days in six months (continuously – 60 days, but you can always cross the nearest border and return again). PCR tests and vaccination certificates will not be needed.
From Dalaman, we recommend that you immediately go to Fethiya, closest to the start of the route, the village. From Dalaman airport to the bus station to Fethiya, buses go, go about an hour. Cash payment on the spot, the fare is 60 Turkish lire.
You can also start a trip from Antalya – direct flights from many Russian cities fly there all year round. Comfortable trams that arrive at the station every 10-20 minutes daily from 07 to 23 hours follow the airport to the center. You will need a transport card (5 lire), the fare will be 3-4 lira. Travel time to the center will take 30 minutes. From Antalya to the start of the trail to Fethih, you can get on regular buses, which run from 8 to 20 hours every 1-2 hours. Go about four hours, the fare will cost 150 lire.
Where to stop
To prepare for the campaign, linger for a couple of days in fluids: buy the necessary products, collect a backpack and tune in to a long way. Here is a selection of hotels with a rating above 9.0 for a comfortable residence:

In Antalya, get acquainted with the architecture of the city, take a walk along the embankment and enjoy the Mediterranean cuisine in one of the cafes. It will be most convenient to stop for several days in the old district of the city – Kaleichi. We chose several suitable options:

Day 1
Olyudeniz – Krimma, 8 kilometers
The trail originates in the village of Olyudeniz, where you can get from Fethiye on a minibus. Do not forget to take a photo at the Likya Way arch, this has long been a tradition among travelers from around the world. On the first day, it is necessary to master the climb to the top of Mount Baba-Dag (1989 m). It is worth it – from there the view of the turquoise lagoon opens, the chain of islands and the light ribbon of the sandy beach in the form of a crescent. Sometimes paragliders are circling over the sea, which adds charm to this quiet place. After the observation, it is necessary to go a few kilometers to the spring and stop at the night near the village of Kirma. In the morning there you can replenish the stocks of snacks and drink a glass of freshly squeezed juice.
Day 2
Butterfly valley – camping Aktash, 12 kilometers
On this day, you will find a descent to the sea with light climbing elements. On the edge of the gorge there is a village of Faralya, where you can leave heavy backpacks and, leaning on the tested ropes, go down the rocks to the valley. If you don’t like the extreme (albeit easy), stay in a cafe. There you can charge devices and drink a cup or two coffee. And if you still decide, we advise you to stay on the coast longer. Take a walk to the waterfalls to observe the butterflies in honor of which the valley is named, bathe in the warm waters of the Mediterranean Sea. After rest, pick up backpacks and go to the parking lot – Aktash camping. There you can take a shower and spend the night in the house.

Day 3
Kabak village – Paradise Beach, 12 kilometers
Next, the descent in the village of Kabak follows. Here you will probably want to stay longer, but you need to continue the way. Ahead is the beach, which the locals modestly call Paradise. There you have to meet one of the most beautiful sunsets on the route. But be sure to stock up in advance with drinking water – in paradise with her problems.
Day 4
Rest
Paradise beach is a cozy bay where it will be nice to stop to enjoy the long -awaited vacation. You can do anything: read books, play cards, arrange swims for speed, prepare delicious food at the stake, sunbathe, doze in the shade of trees. And if you want to mark the traveled path a little, there are several cafes in the campsite near the beach.

Day 5
Paradise Beach – Ancient Olive Grove, 8 kilometers
A strategically important day. You need to climb from the coast to the village of Blyal and replenish the thinned supplies of products. This is followed by a small transition to the garden on the terraces, where it will be conveniently placed on the night. The program has a picturesque olive grove, fresh air and stars sunbathing in the sky.
Day 6
Combators Sidima – Gavuragili Beach, 14 kilometers
On the sixth day of the journey, you will find acquaintance with the historical monuments of Likia. Be sure to make several frames in memory of the tombs of the ancient city of Sidim. Rectangular crypts with triangular tombstones are made of whole stone and look very cinematic. After the photo shoot, you have to make a jerk and climb a small pass. As a reward – a descent to the sea and a date with a sunset.

Day 7
Potara Beach – Ksanfa ruins – cash city, 65 kilometers
The transition to one of the longest beaches of Turkey. On the descent, it will be possible to inspect the old fagot fortress and, from a small peak, admire the multi -kilometer sandy shore. It is great to feel like a child by the water by the water and frolic among the rolling waves.
After catching the minibus and go to the enormous antique complex of Xanthus. Inspect the amphitheater, mosaics and colonnades, wander among the ruins of the once powerful city. Next, we recommend that you go on the bus immediately in cereal, otherwise you will have to go along the busy road or lay the way through the mountains. The resort city has a large selection of fashion cafes, where it will be great to have dinner. You can spend the night in a guest house or install a tent right on the central square of the city. It is better to stock up on water here, since it will not be enough further on the route.
Day 8
Transition through volcanic beaches, 14 kilometers
The day when you have to swim and sunbathe a lot. The route runs through a few beaches with volcanic black sand. On each of them you can make a stop and swim. And to stay in the bay, which will like the most.

Day 9
Lycian city of Apollonia – the village of Vaigyz, 12 kilometers
The goal on the ninth day is the ancient ruins of the Byzantine church and the tomb of Apollonia. Take a walk among the ruins of the acropolis, the term, amphitheater and basilica – touch the historical relic for more than 1000 years. Next, follow the descent to the sea and the crossing on the boat in the village of Vaigyz, where you are waiting for the last bonfire and an overnight stay by the sea.
Day 10
Moving to Antalya
If you leave at about 9 in the morning, then by dinner you can already be in Antalya. Thank you for the path traveled: visit a restaurant, enjoy the dishes of national cuisine and drink a cup of real Turkish coffee cooked in the sand.
