Baku in June 2025 – Is it worth going on vacation? Weather and reviews, air and water temperature in the Caspian Sea, the best beaches, how to dress, prices for flights and hotels. What to see in Baku in early June and closer to July than to do and where to go, I found out Eurotraveler.
June is the month when the soul just praises the rest. It is desirable, of course, at sea – this word is traditionally present in the vacation dreams of most residents of not only the northern but also southern regions.
But what if you literally lack space? After all, everyone knows that in Russia there are few cities where you can relax at sea?
The answer is logical – to go abroad! For example, in Baku, where in June it is not only warm, but even hot. And the competition for a place in the sun is far from as high as, for example, in the summer Sochi.
You will say that this is too unusual move – despite the possibility of visa -free entry, Azerbaijan remains for many Russians a kind of “incognita terra”. And we will answer that this is even for the better – you will make more interesting discoveries!
What can you do in Baku in June, in addition to a beach holiday? How much does the Caspian Sea warm up at the beginning of summer, are there good beaches there, is it clean water? What things are sure to take on vacation at sea? And finally, how much can the Azerbaijan trip cost in 2025?
We found answers to all these questions! But let’s start, as usual, with the main thing:
Weather in Baku in June
It can be considered if not perfect, then still good from the point of view of both rest at sea and excursion tourism. It is warm, at times hot, but humidity is in moderate framework thanks to quite strong sea breeze.
In early June, Baku regularly observes air temperatures in the afternoon up to +30-32 ° C. Although the atmosphere cools to the values (+18-21 ° C), which suggest the presence on the shoulders of more than only a T-shirt or sundress, but also a jacket.
By the end of the first decade of the month, you should not wait for significant changes in the nature of the weather-in the afternoon, street thermometers show something in the area from +27 to +30 ° C. At the end of the month, it is quite possible to expect the establishment of a real heat: it can be either +28-30 or all +35 degrees Celsius.
Which naturally encourages tourists to spend the morning on the beach, and sleep during the day. And only in the evenings to walk around the tank. Large and chicly lit in the dark, almost a European city.
We emphasize that in some years, in late June, the air warms up to +33-35 ° C in Baku. But such a heat is tolerated well (if you do not have vascular diseases, for example): due to moderate humidity and the winds constantly blowing from the Caspian Sea.
The likelihood of precipitation in the capital of Azerbaijan is different from zero in the summer. But this is in theory – in June you can find here only one cloudy day. And the rain, if it happens, will cause exceptionally positive emotions, since the hot air will refresh a little.
Water temperature
At the very beginning of June, the Caspian Sea near Baku was warm up to at least +20 ° C. And in other years, the temperature of the water area reaches the marks and +21-22 ° C. Which, of course, does not give a “green light” bathing of all ages, but in any case, he will not overcool those who want to swim.
By the middle of the month, the water warms up to +24 ° C. And by the end of the month, even +26-27 ° C, creating optimal conditions for swimming even young children. And those vacationers who love the warm sea.
Note that in the Baku itself there are no good beaches – numerous reviews testify to this with all certainty. But if you get out of the city, how exclusively wide opportunities in part of the coastal vacation will open before you.
Beautiful sandy beaches are well known with a gradual convenient entry into the water in the village of Mardakyana. The glorious, by the way, is also his ancient fortress.
Known, but somewhat more loud in comparison with the Mardakian, beaches in the towns of Bilgia and Novikhani in the north of the Apheron Peninsula.
You can also go to Shikhov’s beach south of the city. To which the minibus from the center of Baku will reach at about the same time as to the above -mentioned places, in about 40 minutes.
In any case, for a beach holiday in Baku in the summer you should take some accessories with you at sea. Which will not allow you to burn or minimize the damage from the scorching southern sun.
How to dress
Clothing made of natural materials of light tones and free cut is the most reasonable choice of citizens traveling to Baku in the summer months. At the same time, you should choose a wardrobe, taking into account local traditions. Since local men, even in the heat, usually do not walk around the city in shorts.
A light jacket or sweatshirt can come in handy during evening motioes. Since, as mentioned above, in early June after sunset, air temperatures are inclined to fall below +20-22 ° C.
Widely brown hats and shirts with long sleeves will protect your skin from a burn at daytime walks in the city. And SPF sunscreen with more than 50 will not allow you to burn on the beach. However, we still recommend going there in the morning and evening hours and actively use awes.
Prices 2025
The cost of direct flights to Baku from Moscow and back in the summer of 2025 is 33-40 thousand rubles per person and his baggage. Which, of course, is ruined, but not more expensive than in the summer of 2023 (from 40 thousand).
And, we note, it’s still cheaper to travel to many Russian tourists so expensive (but someone has already fed up) Turkey. Which constantly raises prices in hotels, and a visit to attractions turned into an almost exclusive pleasure.
If you are not too constrained in the funds, then we advise you to stay at Nizami Central Park Hotel, where you will receive a “standard” number and prepaid “magnificent” breakfasts for ~ 70-80 € 70-80. About 10-12 minutes you will get to the girl’s tower or the shirvanshah palace.
A drop is more expensive, but located next to Icheri Sheher (and near the “Fontans Square”) Eleven Hotel Baku. Which in the case is praised in reviews, especially pushing how the staff cares about guests.
After spending a little more time, you will find more budget options. For example, Midcity Hotel (8.9), located “in the center of all attractions” and a kilometer from Ichesh, Sheher in June asks for a modest number for two about 50 €. “Awesome breakfast”, and, again, for two, is included in this amount.
Touring on Baku as a whole cost no more expensive (if only a little) than in Yerevan or Tbilisi. So for the contribution of the equivalent 15-20 € you can participate in a thorough walk with the guide around the city. For about 35-40 € will be able to get out to Gobustan, as well as to see other and Neresh places near the Azerbaijani capital.
What to do
It is not without reason that the capital of Azerbaijan is called “the city of thousands of lights.” And evening walks on a magically highlighted metropolis are rightly considered a separate and extremely romantic entertainment.
- Where to go to Baku first
Especially if you order a table in some authentic restaurant in advance. And after a tour of the city, reward yourself with the best dishes of Azerbaijani cuisine.
However, judging by the reviews, and daytime excursions are able to give pleasure. At a minimum, in the old city of Baku, Iceri-Shekher. Preserved to this day in very good condition.
Baku belongs to the landmark attractions: the girl’s tower and the Shirvanshakhov Palace, the Highland Park, which can be climbed on a funicular, Primorsky Boulevard. It is worth seeing personally the “Fountain Square”. And then to quench the hunger – the benefit of it is a lot of cafes and restaurants.
A separate and very promising occupation also looks like a cruise on a yacht along the Caspian Sea. Well, of course, regular trips to suburban beaches.
Where to go
Of the interesting places located in the neighborhood with Baku, we will mention the Gobustan reserve. Where can you see the petroglyphs of prehistoric people! By themselves, they will tell you little, but the guide that knowledgeable in the history of these places will tell a lot of interesting things.
The north of the Gobustan reserve is a whole field of mud volcanoes. Constantly bubbling and exposure of the puffs of steam.
A curious tourist for the purpose of self -education does not pretend to visit the Temple of the Zoroavstrians of Ateshgy. And then visit the foot of the glowing mountain of Janardag. The connoisseur of unusual natural landscapes even in the June heat will cut the time to travel to the local Dead Sea, the pink Lake Mazasyr.
