Moscow has a huge number of places for cultural leisure. It is very difficult to make a top theaters, they are so different. Much depends on your preferences, but we know for sure: whenever you arrive in the capital, you will definitely find a performance to your taste.
If you like the classics, go to the mast-HAV of any theater-in February you can see “Forest”, “Seagull” or “Masters and Margarita”.
For unusual productions, go to the Practice Theater: here on a small stage they put modern plays. For example, in February there will be a “field” in the texts of Genghis Aitmatov and “Chapaev and Void” according to the novel of the same name Victor Pelevin.
Another obligatory place to visit is the “Theater of Nations”, in which, under the artistic leadership of Yevgeny Mironov, they put very large -scale and spectacular performances. In February, you can see an interesting reading of the “thunderstorm” of Ostrovsky, “Uncle Vanya” with a star composition or amazing “Pushkin’s tales” who deserved the love of the audience.
Take a walk in the park

Everyone heard about the most popular parks like VDNH or Zaryadi – and we suggest you go to less well -known, but also very cool locations. For example, in the Sokolniki park, you can ride an excellent rink on the main square, visit interesting exhibitions and master classes (check with the schedule) or just walk along beautiful paths, taking a delicious coffee in one of the cafes.
In the garden to them. Bauman also works a skating rink, however, smaller than in other Moscow parks. But it is located near the city center and boasts an excellent exhibition space (look for the exposition schedule here) and a good food court.
And if you want more natural beauties, go to Izmailovsky Park – there you can feed the protein and ride a horse. There are many options for interesting leisure.
Have fun in the amusement park

The capital can boast of several interesting entertainment parks. The largest and most popular, of course, the “island of Dreams”, which has been working for only a couple of years, but already found the glory of local Disneyland. The main thing is that this park is covered: it will be comfortable here in any weather. Dozens of attractions in several thematic zones will appeal to children (even the smallest will find entertainment) and adults. In addition to the park itself, many shops and cafes operate in the complex – in general, lay the whole day to visit.
For those who are not afraid of cold weather, the Fairy Tale Park in Krylatsky is suitable: there is a skating rink (where without it in the winter), and dozens of attractions, and thematic parks with alpas and Husky, and even a mini-zoop. On the territory of sufficiently closed locations and cafes, so there will be where to warm up.
If you are going to Moscow with children, look where the Zamania parks are located near the selected hotel – children will be able to run up, jump on a trampoline and rolled with slides, and the adults are still relaxing in a cafe – or “cinema” – an amazing space where the child will be able to try himself as a fireman, veterinarian or professional racer.
Go to an unusual museum

There are many museums in Moscow – hundreds, or even thousands, from huge and all known to tiny private ones. If you want something interesting and unusual, this is also easy. For example, go for unique experience in the “sensorium”, conveniently located on the Arbat: within an hour you will explore the surrounding space in complete darkness. During this time, you can visit a standard apartment, grocery shop and even a Spanish court. And do not be afraid, only you will not stay and will not be lost: all the time you will be accompanied by one of the blind guides.
A museum is working on the falcon, which everyone who likes to touch exhibits and is interested in science. In the “Experimentarium” they often come with children, but adults will be interesting to take part in various experiments and experiments and clearly look at the laws of physics.
Several unusual spaces are concentrated in the VDNH park. For example, not so long ago, a cinema museum has been working here: you can look at the old posters, see the costumes and personal belongings of Russian actors and directors, and the office of Sergei Eisenstein with his drawings and manuscripts was also recreated. In three cinemas at the museum, Soviet cinema is shown, and often from the film – the impressions are very different from the current cinemas. Even at VDNH, it is worth looking at the Museum of Moscow Museum, the Cosmonautics Museum and the Robostation.
Go to the quest

Do you like unusual entertainment? Try to play one of the quests, which are many in Moscow. Leave the locked room, solve complex puzzles or run from a zombie – choose to your taste.
Look for one of the best quest rooms in Claustrophobia: dozens of locations are located around the city, choose your favorite script or the point closest to your hotel-and forward. There are even quests with actors who will scare you or, conversely, help to live the plot.
If you prefer not closed rooms, but large spaces, go to the Moscow 2048 space: these are 1,500 square meters of the decorations of the post -apocalyptic capital. It is difficult to call the action just a quest, rather this is a theatrical performance, the main characters of which you will be.
And there are antiques. For example, “hide and seek in the dark”: the task of the participants is not to look for a way out of the room, but to hide in a huge maze so that they are not found. This is not so simple: firstly, the room is dark, and secondly, various traps work against you, which can reveal your shelter.
Look at the city from a height

Moscow is so huge that it will not work out with all the gaze even with the most highly located observation deck – but this does not mean that you should not visit them. The views of the capital are stunning. Start with one of the classic points of the city on seven hills, sites on the Sparrow Mountains. Admire from there the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, the sports arena “Luzhniki” and the skyscrapers of the Moscow City complex. After inspection, you can go down the cable car to the other side of the river and take a walk along the park.
If you are not afraid of a dizzying height, go to the Eye Tower to Moscow City. There is a site “only love” on the roof – by the way, the highest in Europe. To the ground from there record 360 meters. The entrance is paid, an adult ticket costs 1,800 rubles, children’s – 1,000. In the skyscrapers there are other overview points, for example, Panorama360 on the 89th floor of the Federation Tower.
A magnificent view of the city center opens from the balconies of the Cathedral of Christ the Savior. You can get there as part of the tour or by buying tickets separately (350 rubles). The height is not so large, but the Kremlin, the garden ring and boulevards are clearly visible.
View Flora and Fauna

Moscow is a rather green city. In addition to numerous parks, there are beautiful gardens here, in which you can admire trees and flowers. Yes, even in winter. For example, in a pharmaceutical garden is the oldest botanical garden of Russia, founded by Peter I – there are covered greenhouses. This is a great way to visit the jungle: go to look at palm trees, succulents and tropical plants. The entrance to the garden is paid, an adult ticket costs 400 rubles.
The Great Moscow Zoo operates in the city center – now two territories are opened here, but some of the animals are sleeping in winter. You can always see the inhabitants of the covered expositions – the houses of birds, an elephant, a terrarium, pavilions with butterflies, reptiles and insects. Adults for a ticket will have to pay 1,000 rubles, children under 17 years old and students of daytime departments of universities pass for free. Please note that the zoo works until 17:00, but only until 16:00 they are allowed into the territory.
If you are more interested in watching marine residents, go to the largest oceanarium in Moscow Moskvarium at VDNH: here you can look at fish, jellyfish, capybar, dolphins and killer whales and even get to one of the beautiful shows. An adult entrance ticket costs 1,100 rubles on weekdays and 1,300 rubles on weekends, children are cheaper. It is more convenient to buy on the site so as not to stand in a long line is a very popular place.
To return to the past

Last year, Moscow celebrated its 875th birthday, and there are quite a few corners in the city, in which you can get a briefly in past centuries. For example, go to one of the most beautiful city estates, Kuskovo: once there was a summer residence of Count Sheremetyev. Today, you can take a walk in the beautiful old park in the English style, get around a small palace with the excursion and look at one of the exhibitions that are held in the greenhouse and other rooms (see the current schedule on the site). The entrance ticket to the park costs 50 rubles.
Another beautiful historical place in the capital is Kolomenskoye Park. On the banks of the Moscow River there is a beautiful church of the Ascension of the Lord, built in the first half of the 16th century, the old gates and the chambers adjacent to them, in which the museum is located today. And in 2010, in the part of the park, located closer to the Kashirskaya metro station, restored the wooden palace of Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich. And although this is a remake, the building is recreated according to ancient drawings and looks very authentic both inside and outside. The entrance to the park is free, an adult ticket to the palace costs 600 rubles.
If you like more chamber parks and miniature palaces, go to the Lublino estate. Going to the estate is more convenient from the Volzhskaya metro. On the high bank of the picturesque pond stands the ensemble of buildings of the late XVIII and early XIX centuries. You can enter the palace and some buildings-exhibitions and master classes are held inside. The entrance ticket costs 200 rubles, on some days you can get free (check on the site). Or take a walk in the park, it is also very nice. And if there is time, inspect the neighboring Kuzminki estate, to which you can walk through the equipped forest park.
