Not the most obvious option for leisure in the cultural capital-and nevertheless in St. Petersburg, excellent baths. So why not spend one or two in the evening in the spa?
For example, you can visit one of the oldest bath complexes in Russia -, which opened after a large -scale reconstruction just two years ago. And for the first time he earned in 1871 and was then called Voronin baths. Today, the interior was restored here, including ancient stoves and a fireplace. In addition to the classic paired, there are saunas, hammams, pools and fonts. Two hours will cost 2,500 rubles, you can separately order soaring, wrapping or massage.
Another option is “tar bathhouses”, located near Nevsky Prospekt. This complex has been working since the middle of the last century and over the years has become one of the best in the city. There is a bathhouse, hammam, a large refreshing pool and a cool font. A two-hour session will cost 2,000 rubles, you can purchase a certificate for one of the programs, which will also include soaring from professional banners and various procedures, for example, foamy-soapy or scrubbing.
A little further from the city center, next to the Bogovaya metro, there are more budget, but no less beautiful “Primorsky baths”. This is a modern bath complex with panoramic views of saunas and shower. For 2,000 rubles on weekdays or 3,000 on weekends, an unlimited visit is available here – you can spend the whole day in the bath, sauna and pool.
We study unusual architecture
St. Petersburg is a very beautiful city, you can admire the buildings of different periods here endlessly. At home with colleagues, unusual towers and arches, richly decorated with stucco molding, you will find all this without much difficulty without us. The main thing, look around, otherwise it is very easy to walk past the unique house-yuga, located at the intersection of Sadovaya Street and the Fontanka River embankment. You can look at a wonderful sample of constructivism at the intersection of Grafsky Lane and Rubinstein Street. A six -story gray building was built in 1927 for engineers and writers who were supposed to live here a commune. None of the 52 apartments have a kitchen, because the tenants had to eat two hundred places in the dining room. The bathrooms were common, one at a floor. Today, this house is called a “tear of socialism”, and here, of course, they made a redevelopment-the communist paradise and general life somehow did not take root. But outside the building remains unchanged.
There is also a house in St. Petersburg that reminiscent of Gaudi’s buildings in Barcelona. You can find it at 9 outbuilding, 9. Its architect was Fyodor Lumberg, and although there are no special jewelry on the facade, memorable soft forms, asymmetry and rounded elements make the building the most memorable in the quarter.
We rest with children
So that the children do not get bored of traditional museums and walks through the channels, we suggest adding to your entertainment plan created exclusively for them. For example, go to the island of New Holland: here is one of the most cool playgrounds of the city with a frame of almost a real ship. The layout is made on a scale of 80% of the original, and you can climb all levels, sit on guns, hang on ropes and stand on the captain’s bridge. There are easier sites, with sandboxes and slides. And for adults on the island, interesting lectures and concerts are regularly organized. In winter, a skating rink works there.
With active children, you can go to the “Energy of Heights”-the largest indoor rope park not only in St. Petersburg, but also in Russia. Here you can pass 12 tracks (5 levels available), performing more than a hundred various tasks. And the most daring can climb to a height of 17 meters, under the very ceiling. There are trolls, trampolines, and climbing, and kids under 4 years old, who are still early to climb the tracks, will like a special children’s corner with toys. In the suburbs of St. Petersburg there are enough beautiful places for relaxation and unity with nature. For example, go for a walk along the Lindulovsky grove – this is a unique space where today some species of plants and animals retain. The first trees here were planted by the decree of Peter I, and since 1990 the grove has been guarded by UNESCO. There are larch, spruce, fir, pines, oaks and Ilm. You can get an hour by train from the Finland station, go out at Roshchino station and walk about one and a half kilometers. The entrance to the grove is marked with a large gate.
If the weather has to walk along the sea, go to Lipovo: a local wild beach near a pine boron really likes nature lovers. You can come to the picnic, but try not to miss the sunset, they are beautiful here. And in the neighborhood there is a pretty town of pine forest, in which you can look at dinner and inspect the sights – there are, for example, the NPP museum and the Museum of Modern Art.
However, beautiful views and silence can be found in the city line, for example, in the Primorsky Park of Victory on Krestovsky Island. Walk along oak alleys around ponds and feed manual swans and protein. The park is not too large and a little bitter, but it is considered one of the best places to relax in the city.

Winter is a time for active winter entertainment, especially since there are plenty of them in the vicinity of St. Petersburg. For example, in a total of a ride from the city there is Pukhtolova Gora Park, where you can ski and snowboarding (four slopes are open for them), as well as on dag and skates (the entrance to the skating rink is free). An adult subscription for 10 lifts on weekdays costs 750 rubles, on weekends – 1,500 rubles. If desired, you can stay here at night in one of the cozy houses.
Go to Igor is more difficult to go to Igor: there are 10 tracks with a total length of 4,200 meters, two training slopes, illuminated routes for running skis and a slope for riding cheesecakes. And also Ziplas, the spa complex and the entertainment center-in general, it is worth coming for a couple of days.
If you are not ready to leave St. Petersburg, you can actively spend time within its limits. In many city parks there are slides for riding cheesecakes – go after them to the apple orchard, specific park, Tauride garden or Suzdal lakes. In the specific park, you can also ride on skates – there is a large open skating rink with rental and locker room, a ticket for a session lasting two and a half hours costs 400 rubles. Look for a free skating rink in the CPPPO named after S. M. Kirov in a large square (skates can be rented for 300 rubles).
