European countries continue to tighten the process of issuing short -term Schengen visas for Russians. And many enhance the border control of their territories. Getting Schengen becomes more difficult, but this opportunity remains.
Visas for Russian tourists continue to issue Austria, Hungary, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Iceland, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Slovenia, France, Switzerland and Sweden.
What documents are needed
📎 The current passport and its copy. The passport should have at least two empty pages for a visa and stamp.
📎 Filled questionnaire (it can be downloaded on the site of the visa center) and two color photos (3.5 by 4.5 cm).
📎 To confirm the purpose of the trip, printed tickets and documents on the reservation of the place of accommodation are needed. In some cases, you need precisely paid voucher for settlement at the hotel or an apartment rental agreement.
📎 It is important to provide information that will evaluate the intention of the tourist to leave the country before the visa expiration. Suitable, for example, a return ticket, evidence of property ownership, an employment contract with a Russian employer, etc.
📎 It is required to confirm the fee, presenting a bank extract with the required amount for living during vacation (about 70-90 euros per day).
📎 Medical insurance for the entire trip.
Depending on the country, additional documents may be required: specify on the website of the consulate or visa center. We also recall that the term of consideration of documents is increased from 10 to 15 days, in some cases up to 45 days. And the visa collection for adults increased to 80 euros, for children – up to 40 euros.

Germany
In addition to paid tickets, when submitting an application, it is necessary to attach confirmation of payment of reserved housing. Insurance should be framed only in European companies and provided in English or German, or with a translation into one of them.
Also, when submitting an application for a tourist visa, it is required to provide an extract from a foreign bank. A document issued by both the European Bank and the Bank of the Third Country is suitable – the main thing is that the maps work on the territory of the European Union.
Italy
From December 15, 2022, only ten -year biometric passports will be accepted. Documents of the old model (for 5 years) will not be considered. If there are two current passports, both must now be provided.
Iceland
Now, to submit documents for a visa, the consent of the Embassy of Iceland is required. To do this, you need to write to Visa.moskva@utn.is by indicating the purpose of the trip.
Cyprus
When submitting an application for a national visa, Russian tourists must provide documents on payingability: a certificate from the place of work, an extract from the bank or confirmation of sponsorship.
From December 1, the design of the national visa will become paid. The collection will be 80 euros for an adult tourist and 40 euros for a child from 6 to 12 years old.
Slovenia
The term for consideration of visas applications is increased to 45 days. For trips with tourist purposes, the consulate gives out only single visas. In addition, it is necessary to provide medical insurance issued in a foreign company.
