Samui is a rather popular island in Thailand. In terms of fame, inferior to Phuket and Pattaya, but possessing a number of advantages that are very appreciated. As lovers of “governing”, and, on the contrary, calm reasonable people and vacationers with young children.
However, on a trip to Samui in May, first of all, those who hope to discover tropical beauties and the sea are clean as a tear. And also not too long beaches and a certain solitude.
All this is complete with a decent hotel service and a convenient transport message with the “large land”. So that in the case of unforeseen circumstances (ongoing rain) it was possible to easily and quickly settled.
With total loneliness on the island of Samui even at the end of May today, however, it became difficult. But everything else is still capable of satisfying a finging hot tropical climate of a tourist.
Weather on Samui in May

The end of spring on Samui is not the highest season due to ambiguous weather. Therefore, you can fully count on significant discounts in hotels.
For example, in just 30 € per day it will be possible to rent a room for two in a simple one, but in terms of qualities, just an excellent Utopia Resort on the Lamai beach. You can stop in a spacious room or even rent a cottage, the beach – right outside the door – it is not clear what else to wish?

On Chaweng hotels are somewhat more expensive. But if you are not too attractive, you will also find yourself inexpensive (from 30 € per night) and a clean place like Samui Green Hotel. Visually, it is not very “clinging”, but in fact – very good. Yes, and is located away from discos and very close to the sea.
Tours on the island and cruises on the boat beyond its limits are more expensive, although not to say that such a pastime was only the chosen pockets. Not at all-for a walk around the island in the company with the guide you will pay from 40-50 €. And the same, or slightly more, for a boat walk, for example, on the island of pigs.
Flights
On their own – not the framework of the package tour – they arrive today in Thailand not so few resorters – this trend is in fashion today! Moreover, modern travelers do not think to rush.

If you move on the Air Asia low -cost aircraft, the trip will take more time, although it will be cheaper. Flights land on the continent, at the airport of the city of Surattani. From where you first have to get by bus to the port, and then swim a little by ferry (1.5 hours).
A comprehensive ferry ticket is purchased immediately at the airport. In the case of Lawkoster, by the way, it will not be Suvarnabhumi, but Don Muang – keep it in your head!
What to do
Snorcling and diving are literally mandatory events for tourists. Moreover, children over 5 years old can take part in the first. Fishing in the open sea is also very common.
The journey to the Namuang waterfall is also recommended. But not everyone will like the safari park, although it gives ideas with the participation of trained animals-they live too much in deplorable conditions.
Here, those who wish can ride in elephants. The pleasure is not the most expensive, but it can be deadly – fatal incidents involving elephants in Thailand happen regularly.
