Gartner analysts have recently published a list of technical trends for 2021. In our new article – an overview of the main thoughts of this report.

Automation for analysis of people’s behavior

Analysts introduced the new term “Internet of behaviors” – it combines tools for automatic analysis of people’s behavior on the network. The data collected by such technologies are then used to stimulate certain behavioral patterns and the “contested” of others.

According to Gartner forecasts, by 2025 more than half of the world’s population will be tracked at least one IOB system.

Automation of information security

Automation of business processes will continue, and one of the most important is information security. Analysts believe that companies will be more attentively to ensure security not to organize as a whole, but to specific employees, to build the perimeter of protection around a person.

It was previously believed that a safe zone begins inside the company. During the period of pandemia and a mass transition to remote work, the boundaries became more blurry than hackers actively use. So next year we will see the development of corporate security systems, which can be used both inside the organization’s network and outside it.

According to Gartner forecasts, by 2025, more than half of the requests to control digital assets will cover similar technologies.

Hyperautomatization

One of the designed Gartner trends is called hyperautomatization.

“We see a huge request to automate repeating manual processes and tasks, including the main reason for the development of robotics and many software tools,” analysts in the report noted. “However, now we see the transition from the automation of specific tasks, to the automation of business processes.”

Transition to global business operations

Another strategic trend is called Anywhere Operations, that is, global operations. It implies the transition to the IT work model, which allows you to cover customers around the world, and it makes it possible for employees to work with corporate systems from anywhere in the world.

The pandemic posed a question by the edge: the IT departments of companies were forced to almost simultaneously provide remote access to corporate resources not to separate remote employees, but to all employees. It turned out that even in such conditions it is possible to maintain productivity at a high level with proper organization of access to resources.

According to Gartner, by the end of 2023, 40% of the companies will go to the Anywhere Operations approach, and their infrastructure will be available to both customers and employees from anywhere in the world.
