According to Art. 166 of the Labor Code of the Russian Federation, the employer determines the term of the business trip, taking into account the nature of the official order. A business trip can be either one -day or a long one. However, the law does not indicate what is the maximum duration of the business trip.

- Pregnant women. The gestational age does not affect the decision on the trip;

- Workers with disabilities. If a business trip falls on the rehabilitation course of an disabled employee, it cannot be sent;
- Employees with a student agreement. An exception may be a case in which a business trip is associated with apprenticeship;
- Registered candidates for elections. It is impossible to send on a business trip only during the election.
If an employee opposes and does not want to renew a business trip without a good reason, by law the employer can make a comment, reprimand or even dismiss him.
