Hello everyone, my name is Anya (@dooroga.v.sochi), and on the last December weekend I traveled to Yekaterinburg.
All my life I have been writing stories and one of them, about this trip, I want to tell from the end.
Outside the window of the plane, clouds lay with a soft blanket. The sun was brightly filled with a salon. Suddenly a loud cry: “A doctor! Is there a doctor on board?! Urgently a doctor! ” The man from the next row instantly jumped: “I am a surgeon, what happened?”
In the aisle, a young girl is unconscious. She fell while she went to the toilet. Ammonia, artificial respiration – everything happened in a matter of minutes. A oxygen cylinder, water, a medical suitcase appeared from somewhere. The man acted with lightning speed. As it turned out later, he had an ambulance.
The girl opened her eyes and breathed evenly. The whole plane applauded.
Passengers took their places and the remaining part of the flight, passing by the chair of the man, nodded, smiled and thanked him. In this story there are two important factors: this is the education of a doctor who cannot be replaced by online korochki, and people. Real, responsive, from the Urals.
Talking about a trip to Yekaterinburg, first of all I really want to tell about people.

On arrival, I was met by an interesting taxi driver. He did not know the rules of entry into the airport and at the beginning of the path was indignant that when repeatedly arrived, it was necessary to pay 500 rubles within an hour. Then I learned that I was from Sochi, hit the memories of his youth in the resort and already warmly dropped me at the hotel.
Gold 1905 Boutique Hotel is located in the very center of Yekaterinburg. This is a mansion of the XIX century, restored and insanely beautiful. The composition of the facade is made in the spirit of eclecticism using the forms and techniques of the so -called “brick” style. Nice employees work there, and breakfasts are served directly to the room.
Near the hotel is the TSUM, several shopping centers and the pedestrian street of Vayner, where in the summer, they say, do not push through. There were no crowds in the harsh -20 ° C.
We walked around the city with my best friend. She showed me the monument to the founders – Vasily Tatishchev and Wilhelm de Gennin. They ate in the wonderful Panianist restaurant of MOMO and advanced towards the Yeltsin Center.

On the way, they saw the work of the artist Timofei for the sake of – “Who are we, where are we, where are we going?” Indeed, we thought, crossing the frozen Iset. For the first time in my life, I walked straight along the river in the center of a huge city!
The area resembles Moscow City and is called the local Yekaterinburg City-here are fashionable glass skyscrapers, beautiful catering establishments, and an expensive hotel. In the Yeltsin Center itself, you can get acquainted with the activities of Boris Nikolayevich and his associates. An ideal place to plunge in the era of the 1990s. On one of the floors there is an art gallery. We visited the exhibition of the works of Casimir Malevich and his contemporaries. I was delighted, because such masterpieces will not see every day.

The Yeltsin Center also has a cool bookstore where we had a lot of time. The corner of the Ural designers and a steep corner with souvenirs. There is a Fudkort zone, a huge gym, office premises and, apparently, a lot more. A small ice town was made in front of the building, where we had fun like children.
The next morning we met with former colleagues. Yes, Yekaterinburg is about loved ones in spirit. The city has the same hotel network where we used to work, and not to visit it would be strange.
Having chuckled plenty and showing them, they went to complete the task from subscribers and onetwotrip, namely, sculpt New Year’s dumplings. My girlfriend’s parents live in the cottage village “Zavidovo”. There is a beautiful forest zone and very European houses. We sculpted, took off the tick-toki and laughed a lot.
And in the evening we sat on the subway (yes, in Yekaterinburg it is!) And visited the Ural Stand Up-this was the most memorable event of the trip. I haven’t laughed so much for a long time. In the Urals they can amuse!

On the last day, we went in the center. We looked into the legendary Simple Coffee coffee network, looked at a lot of street art. Yekaterinburg is called the capital of Russian street art. Hence the famous artists Timothy Radia, the glory of the PTRK, Ilya Brands. Festivals of street art are regularly held here. I was delighted, even though frost did not allow to walk a lot and enjoy creativity. But this is so surprising – as abandoned and inconspicuous five -story buildings are turned into real objects of art.
Back on the first day, I noticed a unique building-the headquarters of the Russian copper company on the street. Gorky. Locals call it “pineapple” due to faceted forms and external resemblance to fruit from afar. It seems to me that this area in the summer is one of the most popular for walks and photos. It is very picturesque here, even in snowdrifts. The obvious conclusion is that in Yekaterinburg it is worth looking at the warm season.

There are a lot of universities in the city, and therefore there are many youth. Fun, parties – all this is about Yekaterinburg. I really liked the city, but even more I was impressed by people. The harsh Urals turned out to be very sincere and incredible funny.
Be sure to travel around our country! Opening the Russian soul through different cities and impressions is the best wish for the coming 2022.
