The Romans, who came to the Black Sea coast, were also engaged in defensive construction. The Byzantines who won Bulgaria also made their contribution to the strengthening structure. The main attention of the rulers of the Bulgarian state was the strengthening of the city. Thus, in the Middle Ages, Nesoebr was a powerful serf structure.

The basis for further construction work was the foundations laid down originally. The foundation laying is on the 8th century BC. Currently, only the remains of the fortress are preserved, which are of great historical value. Part of the fortress wall has been preserved from the west, some of the remains of the structure can be seen under water. The preserved wall of the fortress stretches about 100 m long.
