1. Niagara waterfall
The world -famous waterfall is, in fact, a complex of waterfalls located on the border of Canada and the USA, on the Niagar River. “American waterfall”, “horseshoe” and “verse of the bride” are low, fall from 53 meters, but among all these they stand out with the width and volume of falling water. Waterfalls attract so many tourists to themselves that thanks to them two cities with the name Niagara-Falls flourish, which were formed near the waterfall with the American (New York) and Canadian (Ontario province). The view of the seething streams of the Canadian “horseshoes” opens from the observation sites, from the side of the boats, swimming to the foot of the waterfall, as well as from the tunnel passing under it. But fairy -tale paintings are opened by tourists not only in the afternoon. In the evening, from the American side, waterfalls are lit by powerful multi -colored spotlights, and from the Canadian, near the “horseshoes”, fiery fireworks are launched. 2. Royal Museum Ontario
The largest museum in Canada opened in Toronto in 1912 and combined collections of several museums. Historical, ethnographic, archaeological, art history expositions will interest all their visitors: children will be interested in the exhibition of dinosaurs and ancient reptiles, ladies – at the exhibition of precious stones, paintings or national clothes, men usually linger for a long time in the archaeological hall or at the expositions dedicated to the Mediterranean countries. 3. National Park BANF
The large Canadian National Park is located 110 kilometers from Kalgary, where planes with tourists who seek ski resorts of the rocky mountains fly. One of these ski sports centers is founded near the town of Banf. The city has all the necessary infrastructure: cheap hostels and luxurious hotels, laundry, restaurants. Several sports centers are equipped with cable roads – using them, adults and children can ski and snowboards. Indeed, here in the conditions of the reserve there live wild animals: deer and moose, pums and coyots, bears and wolves. In the summer, for mountain and forest walks, you can rent a car, moped or bicycle. There are rental points in Kalgary, on Lake Louise and in Banf. In the city, you can rent a gondola and ride a lake, play golf in the fields among the picturesque mountains. 4. Lake Peyto
Banf is adjacent to the National Park by another natural attraction of Canada – the glacial Lake Peyto, surrounded by hills and forests. Meltwater from snow slopes fill the lake with clean azure water. To see this beauty, you can come to the lake for one day with an excursion group or stop for several days at one of the camp sites nearby. The passage to the observation deck of the lake is free.
5. Aquarium in Stanley Park
The Vancouver State Aquarium is considered a place that is mandatory if you travel through Canada with the whole family. The aquarium is already more than half a century. The building contains exhibitions and thematic exhibitions, for example, you can see a collection of butterflies, get acquainted with the underwater world of Canadian oceans, tropical rivers and forests. Through the glass walls of a huge aquarium, you can observe the life of sharks, dolphins and seals, sivable and sea otter. Children are allowed to touch the anemones and sea sponges in small open pools. For the entrance you need to pay from 13 to 21 CAD (535 – 863 ₽).
Vancouver also attracts tourists with a hanging bridge Kapilano, which stretches over the river and thick forest at an altitude of 70 m. From this bridge, tourists take amazing pictures. A ticket costs from 12 to 32 CAD (493 – 1315 ₽).
6. Canadian Military Museum
The Military History Museum in Ottawa combined all the information about the centuries-old military history of Canada from Indian times to modern conflicts. Here you can find out about all military operations where Canadian soldiers or diplomats took part. The exposition presents weapons, medals, form, military documentation. Separate halls are reserved for army transport, ship guns and large -sized weapons. The cost of a one -time visit 9 and 15 CAD (370 and 617 ₽) for children and adults, respectively.
7. BIDD in MONREAL
Bioom – a combination of an ecological zoo with a scientific center – is located next to the Olympic stadium. The building with a transparent roof originally served as a bicycle circuit, and now five halls dedicated to various ecosystems contain its squares: the tropical and mixed forest of South and North America, as well as the Antarctic and the Arctic. Here they give lectures, show films about nature and the need to preserve it. Insectarium, aquarium and zoo are available for visiting, where animals are not contained in cells, but in free enclosures, in the most familiar habitat for them. 8. Botanical garden in Montreal
The territory of a huge garden with greenhouses and thematic gardens has recently been considered a historical monument in Canada. The green park is divided into thematic zones dedicated to a separate country or the style of landscape design. So, with the whole family, it will be informative and interesting to walk in the Japanese, English and Chinese gardens, in the garden of medicinal or toxic plants, etc. In total, 30 separate zones and 10 greenhouses are divided in the botanical garden, which are separated by paths or artificial slides. 9. Underground city of Montreal
There is no one to surprise the subway, but such a huge underground city as here, it is unlikely that you can still be found. A special life unfolds under Montreal: on the underground street Reseau Pitonnier Souterrain (Reso) or La Ville Souterraine, 32 kilometers run, buses, there are several metro stations, restaurants, cinemas, shopping and entertainment centers, offices and hotels. All tourists consider it necessary to go down to the dungeon, wander along its streets and labyrinths, buy souvenirs for memory or just go a snack.
10. Parliamentary hill in Ottawa
In three buildings built in the style of neo -Gothic, the parliament of Canada is located – the highest legislative body in the country. Tourists are attracted to the parliamentary hill the most recognizable symbol of Canada – the tower of the world.
