The church of the XIV century in Nesebra
One of the attractions of Nesoebra is the Church of Christ Pantocur (translated from Bulgarian – the Church of Christ -High -Executive). Despite its small size, a beautiful shrine is considered historically significant. The start of construction of the structure dates from the 13-14th century. The temple embodies medieval Bulgarian architecture. To date, only its small part remained from the shrine, but the main oil of the room is perfectly preserved, illustrating the Bulgarian religion of past times. Looking at the preserved part, it is easy to imagine how the church looked originally.
Visually, you can draw the missing bell tower, mentally hear the chime of bells. The beauty of this structure is hidden in arches, cornices, pediments, weaving an amazing pattern that attracts the attention of travelers. Even a small part, preserved from the temple, gives it majesty, inspiring a thrill and divine inspiration. Once inside the building, you can admire the presented art exhibits located in the gallery organized in the ancient structure. Among the exhibits are paintings, and on the walls you can see unique medieval paintings.
How to get
